Integrative assessment is a process that combines learning outcomes from multiple modules into realistic activities. It is grounded in constructivist theory which holds that knowledge is actively constructed by learners based on their experiences. There are three perspectives on integrative assessment: 1) Ensuring what is taught is assessed to cover the full curriculum, 2) Evaluating how effectively the teaching adheres to the specified curriculum, and 3) Using assessment formatively to focus on aiding individual student learning progress throughout the process.
