2005 feels like yesterday, but a lot has changed since then. More than you might think. And a lot faster too. That's why we've made this overview of how technology has shaped our lives and attitudes since '05. Take this trip down memory lane with us, bask in the nostalgia and make sure you're ready for whatever 2025 has to offer.
5 ROOKIE MISTAKES you should ABSOLUTELY not makeFloown
We’re all human. And unfortunately that means that every now and then you forget to turn on your brain. Especially when you run a startup there’s the occasional gaffe that in retrospect seems absolutely embarrassing. HOW COULD WE BE SO STUPID?
For this one we had to dig quite deep into our memory. Since we’re running such a tight ship we could only muster up 5 rookie mistakes…
Nah, not even Team Floown is perfect. But as Barack Obama said: “You try to figure out how to be in the moment, make the best decision you can, know that you’re going to get a bunch of them right, but a bunch of times you’re also not going to get it exactly the way you want it.”
Meaning, don’t fret too long over all the small mistakes. You can have a bad morning, a bad afternoon, but when you keep focused and positive you might write the most genius code, design the most beautiful logo, or make the best decision in the evening. Just because you kept at it, and let loose the negativity of what was before.
Our rookie mistakes hopefully make you laugh. Put a smile on your face. And when you run an into a similar situation, hopefully you won’t make that same mistake. But more importantly, always remember to keep on moving. After five mistakes, the sixth thing you do might be the best thing you’ll ever do.

Getting Started With Jenkins And DrupalPhilip Norton
Jenkins is a really powerful tool for automating things like code analysis, testing and even deployment. Getting started with Jenkins, especially with Drupal, is a challenge and can be quite difficult for a beginner to the system. In this session I'll show you how to install Jenkins, how to configure things like authentication and then how to do some interesting things with the tool. I'll show some real life examples of things that can be done with the tool on your Drupal sites to do things like run cron jobs, syntax check the code or even automatically copying code to your web servers.

The true identity of a man who was mistakenly interviewed on BBC News 24 has been revealed.
Guy Goma, a graduate from the Congo, appeared on the news channel in place of an IT expert after a mix-up.
But Mr Goma, who was wrongly identified in the press as a taxi driver, was really at the BBC for a job
interview. Mr Goma said his appearance was "very stressful" and wondered why the questions were not
related to the data support cleanser job he applied for. The mix-up occurred when a producer went to collect
the expert from the wrong reception in BBC Television Centre in West London.
BBC spokeswoman The producer asked for Guy Kewney, editor of Newswireless.net, who was due to be
interviewed about the Apple vs Apple court case. After being pointed in Mr Goma's direction by a
receptionist, the producer - who had seen a photo of the real expert - checked: "Are you Guy Kewney?" The
economics and business studies graduate answered in the affirmative and was whisked up to the studio.
Business presenter Karen Bowerman, who was to interview the expert, managed to get a message to the
editor that the guest seemed "very breathless and nervous".
Mr Goma was eventually asked three questions live on air, assuming this was an interview situation. It was
only later that it was discovered that Mr Kewney was still waiting in reception - prompting producers to
wonder who their wrong man was.
Mr Goma said his interview was "very short", but he was prepared to return to the airwaves and was "happy
to speak about any situation". He added that next time he would insist upon "preparing myself". A BBC
spokeswoman said: "This has turned out to be a genuine misunderstanding. "We've looked carefully at our
guest procedures and will take every measure to ensure this doesn't happen again."

going to see a lot of people downloading the internet and the website and everything they want. But I think eh
It is much better for development and eh to inform people what they want and to get the easy way and so
faster if they are looking for. KB: It does really seem the way the music industry's progressing now that people
want to go onto the website and download music. Taxi driver: Exactly you can go everywhere on the cyber
