The water cycle describes how water evaporates from the sea into the air as invisible droplets, rises into the sky and condenses to form clouds which are blown by wind over land. When clouds reach hills or mountains, the water falls as rain or snow and collects in rivers that flow back into the sea, completing the cycle.
