The traditional fishing village of
Tulcea
Straw roofs, living colors and
fishing nets that decorate the
fences and the walls of the clay
houses imitate the 100-year-
old dwellers of the Delta.
Situated on the outskirts of Tulcea, on
the outskirts of Mahmudia, the
traditional fishing village stretches over 3
hectares and includes traditional houses,
a village buffet, a cherman, windmills, an
information center, buildings that form a
theme park systematized with three
main alleys trying to reconstruct the
Danube's arms, each of them being
located constructions representative of
the localities of the Danube Delta.
The fishing village is realized
through the project "Traditional
fishing village traditional
objective", co-financed by the
Operational Program for
Fisheries 2007-2013.
