The document discusses the important role of Muslim youth. It provides examples of youth from early Islam who exemplified strong faith and dedication to spreading the message of Islam, including Ali, who protected the Prophet as a young boy [1], Mus'ab ibn Umair, who taught others about Islam despite giving up his wealthy lifestyle [2], and Khalid ibn Al-Walid, a fearless military leader as a young man who remained undefeated [3].
Islam has given a greater importance to the period of youth and value it to a larger degree. Allah and the Messenger of Allah has instructed to use it in a proper way.

Seerah Sayyidul Anbiya ﷺ (Life Story of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
By Muhammad 'Ali bin Zubair 'Ali
A beautifully written account on the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It starts with the noblest of noble lineage of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and step by step goes through his entire life and ends with a chapter on the miracles performed by him ﷺ.
Every chapter has a set of questions in the end to test ones knowledge on what they have just read. A great learning tool for everyone.
It is a well-known fact that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was the supremely successful man in the entire human history. But he was not just a hero, as Thomas Carlyle has called him. According to the Qur'an, he was a good example for all mankind. He has shown us the way of achieving supreme success in this world.
By studying the life of the Prophet we can derive those important principles, which were followed by the Prophet. In short, the Prophet of Islam was a positive thinker in the full sense of the word. All his activities were result-oriented. He completely refrained from all such steps as may prove counter-productive.

Imam Ali (pbuh), a Master of Leadership- part 1Farhad Zargari
Imam Ali (PBUH) in his period of government (Khalifate) displayed a leadership model based on social justice and real acknowledgement of human rights. Once he appointed one of his faithful disciples as the Governor of Egypt. Maalik al-Ashtar was a famous companion of Imam Ali and Imam had specially taught him the principles of administration and jurisprudence. The following instructions in the form of a letter were written to him by Imam Ali when he left for Egypt. The letter is a comprehensive set of political, social, economic and moral instructions for a governor to rule with honesty, fairness, and equality.
Shedding light on the status of the women in Islam, this book explains that women were ill-treated and humiliated in many cultures and how Islam put an end to all this injustice, gave women their proper status.
Building a Strong Ummah: Muslim Women in the Twenty-first CenturyBelayet Hossen
This paper has been presented at The 1st International Conference on Islam and Contemporary Issues in the Muslim World: Challenges and Way Forward, which was held on December 5-6, 2016 at University of Malaya.
2. Islam was never meant to be an individualistic
faith, reserved for the "chosen few". Muslims
have a duty to spread the Deen, and
practicing Muslim youth, whether beginners,
activists or leaders have a crucial role to play.
Youth role start from the beginning of
maturity and awareness.
1/11/2013 2
3. Youth is the prime time of our lives.
This is where people make important decisions
like what to become in the future.
Things you do in this time will most likely affect
you throughout the rest of your life.
That is why, it is important to bring Islam into
your life during these days.
Many people have the conception that when they
get old then they will start practising Islam.
1/11/2013 3
4. Because youth is the prime time of your life, that is why it is very
precious to Allah.
Allah has prepared a shade on the Day of Judgement for those
people who used to worship Allah in their youth.
On that Day, there will be no other shade except the shade from the
throne of Allah.
Imagine standing outside on a very hot day under the sun for hours
after hours. You would definately want some shadow to rest under.
But what about that Day when the sun will be much nearer to us and
the heat will be much more extreme. Wouldn't you want some shade
on that day? Ofcourse you would!
May Allah make it easy for us. Ameen.

5. An Ideology is a set of ideas, doctrines &
beliefs that constitute one’s goals.
Muslim youth should be aware of their roles
in making Islam prevail as they are the adults
of tomorrow.
Besides at this stage, the youth possess a
strong determinism which is extremely
difficult to deter & thus youth is a good
medium in making Islam prevail over other
ideologies.
1/11/2013 5
6. Adopt sound attitudes & build a good
character by emulating our Prophet
Muhammad (saw) as far as possible.
Be sincere in everything you do for Shaytaan
cannot fight with those who are sincere.
Be patient & perseverant in everything as
these are great qualities of a good Muslim.
Make use of wisdom when replying to people
with other point of views.

7. A lady with rare qualities and a formidable
character unmatched in history, a lady who
was one of the greatest mother of believers, a
woman with an exceptional dynamic
personality known as Aisha Siddiqa (may
Allah be pleased with her).
She is the most inspiring role model of young
muslimas for in her youth she has been a
teacher, one of the greatest scholars of Islam,
a political leader & a warrior.
1/11/2013 7
8. She was blessed with the opportunity to spend her youth
in the Holy Messenger’s auspicious household. In her
youth, she was well known for her striking beauty and her
formidable memory; she came under the loving care and
attention of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and
blessings of Allah be to him).
As his wife and close companion, she acquired from him
knowledge and insight such as no woman has acquired.
Her life presents to us the perfect example of how a
woman can be far more learned than men and that she can
be the teacher of scholars and experts. Her life is also a
proof that a highly qualified learned woman can be totally
feminine and be a source of pleasure, joy and comfort to
her husband. She showed us by her life how a woman can
be an expert both in domestic work and intellectual world.

9. Clear example of the young sahabiya Asma' bint
Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with
her), who though being young strived to support
the Prophet (saw) and Islam.
This brave young girl used to cover the great
distance between Makkah and Mount Thawr at
night everyday, ever alert and striving to conceal
herself as she walked and climbed up the
mountain, until she had brought whatever
supplies and news she was carrying to the
Prophet (PBUH) and his companion. Then she
would go back down to Makkah under cover of
darkness.
1/11/2013 9
10. The difficulty and isolation of this journey,
and the presence of watchful enemies, did
not deter her. She knew that by saving the life
of the Prophet (PBUH) and his companion,
helping them to reach their goal of going to
Madinah, she was supporting the religion of
Allah (SWT), and working towards making His
word supreme on earth.
1/11/2013 10
11. One of the most noble examples of Muslim
womanhood and the first martyr of Islam was
the female companion Sumayyah Bint
Khabbab (May Allah be pleased with her)
She was one of those who stood fast and
resolute upon the worship of Allah alone
when the muslims were few and their success
was only through patience upon the truth.
1/11/2013 11
12. She was the 7th person to accept Islam and
was young.
Abu Jahl tortured her by stabbing her in the
private parts and she died as a result of that.
Therefore she was the first ‘shaheedah’
(martyr) in Islam.
1/11/2013 12
13. From Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her):
Young woman- good in all spheres besides
fulfilling all her responsibilities as a wife.
From Asma (may Allah be pleased with her):
Bravery and determination in your work.
From Sumayyah (may Allah be pleased with
her)
Fight for the truth & what you believe in.
Always have a heart filled with strong & vibrant
faith.

14. Young Muslimas in Islam play a prominent role, in
shaping and developing the Muslim society as a
model from the onset, emancipating humanity, men
and women, from the shackles of deep-rooted
ignorance. Women in Islam have a very special place,
status, and dignity that is unknown to mankind
before or after.
The few anecdotes of the early female believers,
stand as beacon and outstanding models for the so-
called "weaker sex" and call for the revival of the
pristine, lofty, high position of women in the society
once again & thereby in this way Islam will prevail
over other ideologies.
1/11/2013 14
15. One of the first to accept islam. He was only 10.
He was dedicated in Prophet Muhammad and islam. Sometimes
his loyalty to the Prophet meant risking his own life.
E.g: The Muslims had already began the hijra, or migration to
Medina, and the Prophet Muhammad and Abu Bakr were the last
to leave. Ali, who the Prophet knew the Meccans would not harm,
slept in the Prophet’s bed waiting for the assassins.
He put himself in more danger by secretly returning property
entrusted to the Prophet back to its owners before leaving
Mecca.
Ali was known also for his courage on the battlefield. He was a
distinguished warrior who participated in major battles.
The Prophet Muhammad gave him the title Asadullah, the Lion of
God, for his service to Islam.
1/11/2013 15
16. He was a very handsome young man, very wealthy and was brought up
in a luxurious fashion. He enjoyed the best of food, finest dresses and
the best perfumes.
When he embraced islam. Mus‘ab cared neither for good food, nor good
dress. He was no longer inclined towards expensive perfumes; instead
he devoted himself whole heartedly to serve the cause of Islam.
His mission was to instruct the Ansar who believed in the Prophet. The
prophet chose him because of his eloquence, excellent mind and noble
character. He won the hearts of the Madinites with his piety, uprightness
and sincerity. And so they embraced the religion of Allah in flocks.
He was also a gallant soldier, a fearless warrior and an able General. It
was because of his gallantry that prophet Muhammed had entrusted him
with the charge of the highest banner of war, in the battle of Badr. He
was also given the rare honor of holding the Muslim banner during the
battle of Uhud.
He sacrificed everything he possessed for the sake of Islam including his
wealth and worldly belongings, his luxurious style of living, his
homeland, his people and his own country. In short, everything which
was dear to him, was sacrificed by him for Islam.
1/11/2013 16
17. Sayf Allāh al-Maslūl (the Drawn Sword of God),
Khalid bin Al-Waleed was one of the greatest generals in history, and
one of the greatest heroes of Islam. He remained undefeated in his
entire military life. A measure of Khalid's genius is that he was the only
person to inflict a (temporary) defeat on the Prophet Muhammad, (may
Allah bless him and grant him peace).(Uhud)
He fought and won in over a hundred battles against the numerically
superior forces of the Byzantine-Roman Empire, Persian Empire, and
their allies, in addition to other Arab tribes. His strategic achievements
include the conquest of Arabia, Persian Mesopotamia and Rmoan Syria.
He is also remembered for his decisive victories at Yamamah, Ullais, and
Firaz, and his tactical successes at Walaia and Yarmouk.
There was no one more fearless and ingenious than Khaalid.
E.g: battle of mu’ta. Three commanders were appointed by the prophet.
All of them were martyred. The Muslim army was in very bad shape until
the banner of Islam was taken by Khalid Ibn Al walid. He turned a defeat
into victory.

18. Salman was to play an important role in the struggles of
the growing Muslim state. At the battle of Khandaq, he
proved to be an innovator in military strategy. He
suggested digging a ditch or khandaq around Madinah to
keep the Quraysh army at bay. This stratagem has not
been employed by the Arabs before.
He lived from the work of his own hands.
As a scholar, Salman was noted for his vast knowledge and
wisdom. It is said of him that “he is stuffed with
knowledge and wisdom--an ocean that does not dry up."
Salman had a knowledge of both the Christian scriptures
and the Quran in addition to his earlier knowledge of the
Zoroastrian religion.
Salman in fact translated parts of the Quran into Persian
during the life-time of the Prophet. He was thus the first
person to translate the Quran into a foreign language.
