My name is  Alex . I’m a  designer  &  entrepreneur .
I design  smart products  . I ran a  design studio  for 4 years. I am launching a  new product company  next year. I’m exploring  robots  and  3D printing  this year.
I will try to make  3  points:
Learning. Breaking. Redefining.
We are re-learning  how to make things . We are  breaking industrialised innovation . We are  redefining success .
Why?
Industrialised nations are often industrialised because of manufacturing.
Manufacturing has defined economic growth.
Manufacturing has defined political strength.
Manufacturing became a hobby.
Manufacturing became working class.
What does this have to do  with being digital?
Everything.
We are  re-learning  how to make things & we are learning about  ourselves  with new  technological goggles .

A  business magnate  who owns more than 400 companies. His first successful  business venture was a magazine  called Student at age 16.
 
So…
We  will  rethink education. We  will  look to break corporate silos. We  must  look for inspiration everywhere. We  must  redefine innovation looks like.
