LEARNING TO PROPHESY
• With this study about the Rapture we end our 2017 year of studies.
• I thank to the Lord for each one of the students that have participated in the
different seminars, and I pray that His mighty anointing be constantly increasing in
each one of you.
• I thank the Lord for the abilities, gifting, talents and skills that He has lavishly
bestow upon you; and I ask Him to sharpen them all together, so you can be used
in his hands for the fulfilment of His mighty purposes on you.
• May you be used as a power tool to expand His Kingdom wherever you go, and
become an enthusiastic winner of souls.
• I bless you in the name of the Lord. Amen.
WHAT IS THE RAPTURE?
THE RAPTURE IS
• CHRIST COMING TO TAKE HIS
CHURCH HOME.
• His coming is fast approaching.
• The Lord will descend with a shout and with a blast of
God’s trumpet.
• All believers, living and dead, will suddenly meet the
Lord in the air.
• At the present time, the Church as an eager bride, waits
for the final completion of the union with her Groom.
MERRIAM-
WEBSTER
DEFINITION
• Definition of RAPTURE
• 1: an expression or manifestation of ecstasy
or passion
• 2a : a state or experience of being carried
away by overwhelming emotion
• b : a mystical experience in which the spirit is
exalted to a knowledge of divine things
• 3: often capitalized : the final assumption of
Christians into heaven during the end-time
according to Christian theology
TRIBULATION
IS NOT FOR
THE CHURCH
• During the study of the Book of Revelation we
have noticed that the church is mentioned
between chapter one to three, then all a sudden
starting in chapter four the church is not
mentioned at all until chapter nineteen.
• Now, if we pay attention to what other
scriptures in other books teach about the
destiny of the church, we’ll found out enough
information assuring that the Church will not be
present on the earth during the events
happening on Rev. 4:1 through Rev. 18.
• The Church appears again in chapter nineteen.
So the Church will be away during the period of
tribulation.
THE LATIN
TERM
RAPTURE
MEANS
“TO SEIZE”
AND “TO
CARRY OFF”
• 1Thessalonians 4:17 in the Latin Vulgate
reads:
• Deinde nos, qui vivimus, qui relinquimur,
simul rapiemur cum illis in nubibus obviam
Christo in aera, et sic sempe cum Domino
erimus.
• 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught
up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the
Lord.

WHERE THE RAPTURE
IS TAKING US?
WE HAVE A
HEAVENLY
MANSION
• John 14:2-3 (NKJV)
• 2 In My Father’s house are many
mansions; if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again and receive you to
Myself; that where I am, there you may
be also.
JESUS IS COMING FOR US
• Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place for each one of us.
• His Father house has enough mansions for those who remain in Him.
• Remember: His Father is Our Father!
• In other words He is saying: I’m not lying to you.
• Once I have prepared the place, I will return to take you to myself.
• It is very clear that the purpose and desire of Jesus Christ is that we may
stay whit Him where He is.
• This coming of the Lord to take us with Him is called : The Rapture
RAPTURE
AND THE
TRIBULATION
• So, the main debate on the Rapture is not what
it is, or if it will happen, but when will occur.
• There are three theories of when the Rapture
will take place, these concepts are in relation to
the tribulation.
• Pre-tribulation view is that the rapture will
happen before the tribulation period;
• Mid-tribulation view is that the rapture will occur
half-way through the tribulation period;
• Post-tribulation view is that the rapture will
occur at the end of the tribulation period.
WHO ARE TAKEN
IN THE RAPTURE?
THE ONES TAKEN
• Only BELIEVERS IN JESUS will be taken away from earth.
• The rapture of the church is the so awaited event in which Jesus comes to
snatch away all believers from the earth in order to make way for His
righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the tribulation
period.
• God will resurrect all believers who have died, He will give them glorified
bodies, and removed them from the earth.
• Then, all living believers who have remain in Jesus will also be given
glorified bodies and taken up to meet the Lord all together in the air.
THOSE WHO SLEEP IN JESUS
• 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (NKJV)
• 13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you
sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe
that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring
with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
WE NEED TO BE INFORMED
• Paul wrote to the church at Thessalonica to reassure them that:
• Those who have already died in the faith won’t miss the kingdom.
• Because, their bodies will rise and be joined with their spirits who are now
with the Lord.
• The dead will rise at the Lord’s appearance and not miss out the eternal life,
so Paul writes, to inform them of this hope. (See John 11:25-26)
• Those who have no hope, cannot hope for the resurrection unto eternal
life.
• Their hope is lost after death if they’ve never repented and trusted in Jesus.
AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST
• 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16 (NKJV)
• 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we
who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord
will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For
the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of
God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
THEN, WE WHO ARE ALIVE
• 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (NKJV)
• 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST
• There is an stablished order to meet the Lord at His second coming:
• Paul clearly tells us that the dead rise first and meet our Lord in the air.
• Then, those of us who are still alive at the coming of our Lord.
• These four things will happen when Christ returns:
• There will be a mighty shout.
• There will be the voice of an archangel.
• There will be the sound of a trumpet, and
• The dead in Christ will rise first.
WHEN THIS WILL
HAPPEN?
NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY OR HOUR
• Matthew 24:36-39 (NKJV)
• 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels
of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of
Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For
as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah
entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and
took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man
be.
THE DAY OF THE LORD
• 1 Thessalonians 5:1 (NKJV)
• 5 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have
no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know
perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the
night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden
destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant
woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not
in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You
are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night
nor of darkness.
•Matthew 24:42 (NKJV)
•42 Watch therefore, for you do not know
what hour your Lord is coming.
WE NEED TO BE WATCHFUL
• All these circumstances remind us that we don’t know when the
day or hour of His return will be, so we are to be ready at all
times.
• We must examine ourselves, confess our sins, and be ready at all
times for His appearance because He is coming when no one
will expect it.
• Jesus knows that the world can weary us, that is why He tells us
to be praying, so we may have the strength to escape all the
temptations of the world.
HOW THIS WILL BE?
IT WILL BE:
Personal. Visible. Audible. Glorious. Earth shaking.
The righteous dead will be resurrected.
The righteous living will be changed.
The righteous will be gathered from the four winds.
The living wicked will die.
IN A MOMENT!
•1 Corinthians 15:52 (NKJV)
•52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the
dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed.
AS A LIGHTING
•Matthew 24:26-27 (NKJV)
•26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the
desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner
rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning
comes from the east and flashes to the west, so
also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
CONCLUSION
THE CHILDREN OF GOD
•1 John 2:28 (NKJV)
•28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that
when He appears, we may have confidence and
not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
• There are many different opinions on the rapture, on the tribulation,
and on the time of the rapture or whether there’s a rapture at all.
• These doesn’t mean we need to be divided over things that are not
essential to our salvation, or to the commands from God.
• Instead of focusing on the rapture, it is fruitful to focus on Christ or
we’ll sink like Peter did in the stormy seas because he took His eyes
off Christ.
• May we all be ready for His return at any given moment.
• May grace and peace be multiplied in the lives of us all.

I MADE THIS PRAYER OF THE APOSTLE PAUL FOR THE
EPHESIANS, OUR OWN PRAYER, IN THE NAME OF
JESUS
• Ephesians 1:15-22 (NKJV)
• Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom
• 15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and
your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you,
making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the
hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance
in the saints,
• 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who
believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He
worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and
seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all
principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that
is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
• 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head
over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him
who fills all in all.
Amen,
And so be it right now,
Amen.
