- The return of Jesus to gather His people is called the rapture and is prophesied throughout the Bible. It will be a visible event where Jesus returns in the clouds with angels. - At His return, the righteous dead will be resurrected and the living righteous will be "caught up" to meet Him. They will receive glorious, immortal bodies and be taken to heaven to be with Jesus. - The wicked will be destroyed when Jesus returns. They will cry out for the mountains to fall on them and will be consumed by Jesus' brightness. Only those watching and ready will be prepared for His sudden return.
