The SiuilSkool is a device designed to improve walking patterns in infants with disabilities. It has an ergonomic shape that allows users to support infants between their legs for control. A retractable visual unit provides visual stimulation to encourage healthy gait. Features include a large roller track, safety belts, and integrated wheels for mobility. The visual unit has a backlit screen with brightness control and an "active area" to focus infant attention, while encouraging good posture. The design aims to make the product hygienic, portable, and easy to use.

![The Product:<br />Product Name: SiuilSkool.<br />Description: A device to improve walking patterns and gait in infants with disabilities.<br />Designer: Jonathan O Toole<br />Introduction:<br />My name is Jonathan O Toole and I’m a product designer from Ireland. I am designing this product as part of my Final Year Project. Caroline Teulier asked me to have a look at the research and see could a new product be designed to improve interaction of the infants with the product and also improve on the usability issues of such a product. The product is coming towards its last stages of design and this report is just to show an overview of the design to date.<br />Overview of product:<br />Overview of Main design features:<br />Main shape:<br />Over all shape is ergonomic and because of the shapes created along the side and the overhang on the track it allows the user to place the infant right over the centre of the track and have full control. The user holds the infant between their legs and uses their legs to take the weight of the infant instead of their arms. This allows the user to have more control for longer periods of time. The rounded high finished plastic vacuum formed shell makes the product easy to move clean and store. <br />Visual unit:<br />The product has a Visual Unit build into the main body to help the infants using the product interaction and get visual stimulus to encourage a healthy walking pattern. The Visual unit can move in and out of the main body using tracks that have been cut into the side plates. This allows the users to choose if they wish to use the visual unit on a day to day basics and allow makes the product very easy to transport and store because the screen can retract into its own body.<br />As you can see from the image above there’s a large area where the image is fully clear all other areas on the visual unit are frosted out. This helps to keep a real sense that the whole product is connected without drawing attention away from the area the infant is meant to be viewing. This active area on the visual unit is location at the normal height a person walking would naturally view from. The product therefore encourages a good posture and nice walking pattern. Below is one of the first prototypes to show the concept of an active area on the visual unit. The image below also shows an image that will be more accurate to the final image that will be used. MOVING VEHICLE FOR A PERSON WITHOUT HAND PROJECT REPORT
