How to Become a Muslim?
Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process. All that a person has to do is to say a sentence called the Testimony of Faith (Shahada), which is pronounced as:
“ashhadu alla ilaha ilal Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”
These Arabic words mean, “I testify that There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.”
Once a person says the Testimony of Faith (Shahada) with conviction and understanding its meaning, then he/she has become a Muslim.
Muslims believe in one, unique, incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner, and that none has the right to be worshipped but Him alone. He is the true God, and every other deity is false. He has the most magnificent names and sublime perfect attributes. No one shares His divinity, nor His attributes.
This is the definition of Allah/God from Qur’an:
1. Say, “He is God, the One.
2. God, the Absolute.
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is nothing comparable to Him.”
—Qur’an 112
The Quran answers such questions as where we came from, why we exist and what we should do. This Book describes the existence, the unity, the power and the mercy of God. The Quran speaks of God, and introduces God as the Merciful, the Creator and the Forgiver. The description of God is the most important message of the Quran.
In order to worship God, we have to know Him well otherwise we may form a distorted concept of Him and then go astray. God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine and he is the only one worthy of worship.
There is nothing similar to God.
—Quran 42:11

Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

1. The process of Tazkiya
Truly he succeeds that purifies it…
As-Shams, 91:9
2. The Messenger of Allah said:
If someone wants to know what
position he enjoys in the eyes of
Allah,
he has only to look at what place he
gives to Allah [in his heart].
- Hakim
4. Our ultimate goal in life
To seek Allah’s pleasure
And there is the type of man who gives his life
to earn the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is full of
kindness to (His) devotees. Al-Baqara 2: 207
To seek Jannah
And surely Paradise – it is the goal. Al-Naziat 79:41
To seek Allah’s pleasure = To seek
Jannah
5. Stepping towards Paradise
1st
Step
Focus on real and ultimate goal.
A conscious choice.
Absolute break from past.
This is like beginning a new journey.
Start your journey with fresh mind and
soul.
6. Stepping towards Paradise
2nd
Step: Understand your mission.
Ask yourself.
What Allah requires of you.
Is it for you to be a Mumin and Mujahid.
Don’t’ feel bad for your personal
shortcomings.
Principle of gradualism: you can not
expect change in one day.
7. Stepping towards Paradise
3rd Step: Your bargain with Allah.
Al Tawba 9:111
Allah hath purchased of the Believers their persons and their goods; for
theirs (in return) is the Garden (of Paradise): they fight in His Cause,
and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in Truth, through the
Law, the Gospel, and the Qur-an: and who is more faithful to his
Covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have
concluded: that is the achievement supreme.
This is the ideal. Ideals are always difficult
to achieve. Ideals are always to be
pursued.
