This is a presentation of the search for a kingdom business that gives an inspiration for all who are undergoing "crisis" in life and in business. This is an original compilation of notes based on the book of Michael Baer & Mike Grudem inspired by some messages from the Holy Bible and the Wisdom of the Almighty.
Presentation on the concept and global movement of 'BAM: Business As Mission' also called by thought and movement leader Mike Baer. Mike Baer authored the first book on the subject of BAM and has started over 1,000 companies with over 750 still in operation. That's a 75% success rate!

There is a word that politicians love to throw out whenever they consider that it might accrue some advantage for them. I'm talking about values. As one commentator put it: "Values, values everywhere." Then she went on to list the ways the term was used in a recent political rally: "American values, working-class values, heartland values, mainstream values, blue-collar values, democratic values" and the list goes on (Goodman, 2004). In spite of the overuse and, at times abuse, of the word, values continue to be the central issue for society today, because they give direction and meaning to our lives. In this presentation, I want us to look at what values are, what the Bible says about them, why they are important and how they become embedded in our hearts.

LaTashia Satterfield Ogunlana of Gye Nyame Consulting discusses the principles of stewardship and how it can be applied to increase capacity and sustainability.
We need to recover an appreciation for our work lives. I argue that Christians should begin with grace, continue in grace, and end with grace, which God provides generously for all areas of our lives.
Welcome to Community Champions 101 - Week 1 - Getting to know you and your expectations. Learning to lead like a champion and come alongside someone to encourage, prepare, equip, and help others succeed. What is a champion? What isn't a champion! Pitfalls and the gift you are able to give someone.
We are called to be conformed to the image of Christ, but we often don’t know where to start. Like any good craftsman, our spiritual journey requires the right set of skills and tools. This class will explore ways to revitalize our personal spiritual life, enhance our devotional times, and transform our lives.
Grace is the divine influence on the heart of a man and it is reflected or expressed outwardly. In other words, it is the out-working of a divine inward influence in your heart through God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. Grace is the glory of God working in a man’s spirit.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

TAKING THE CHALLENGE
1. TAKING THE
CHALLENGE
VISIONING WITH A MISSION: A
BRIGHTER FUTURE AMIDST A
GLOOMY SITUATION
Presented By:
Juanita Castro Bonda
2. BUILDING OUR DREAMS
• HAVE AN “INTENSE” DREAM,
BELIEVE IN IT AND MAKE IT
HAPPEN!
• HAVE “FAITH” AND BELIEVE
YOU CAN DO IT!
• HAVE “TRUST” AND BE
CONSISTENT IN EVERYTHING
WE DO!
3. REACHING OUR DREAMS
THINK…
S - pecific = What to reach
M -easurable = How much to reach
A –ttainable = How to reach
R – ealize = Where to reach
T – ime bound = When to reach
“Better be a failure than to regret the rest of your Life.”
“Do not live on other people’s perception”
“Do not let anybody steal your DREAMS”
4. POSITIVE MENTAL AND
CREATIVE THINKING
•
Maintain an “enthusiastic spirit” at all times
•
Change the way you think if you want to make change
in your Life
•
Realize that in Life; nothing is forever
•
When trouble hits you, hold on to what you know is
TRUE and refuse to believe your Emotions.
•
Let your adversity drive you towards God!
•
PURSUE EXCELLENCE IN EVERYTHING YOU
DO!
5. TRADITIONAL BUSINESS
VS. KINGDOM BUSINESS
Traditional Business conforms
with the rules and regulations of
the world.
Kingdom Business conforms with
the moral teachings of the bible.
Which one are you IN? The choice
is yours!!!
6. Kingdom Business is…
• Vocational – a “calling” from
God
• Intentional – God has a “unique
purpose”
• Relational – God is glorified in
our relations
• Operational – God is our guide
7. Business as a Vocation
“Business is a good thing from God”
God said to Adam & Eve:
“Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule
over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every
living creature that moves on the ground. I give you every seed-
bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that
has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the
beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures
that move on the ground-everything that has breath of life in it-I
give every green plant for food” (Gen. 1:28-30)
8. Business is Intentional…
Teleology is a study of purpose and
end results.
“For I know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and future”. ( Jer.29:11)
“In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to
the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the
purpose of His will”. (Eph.1:11)
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” ( Eph. 2:10)
Business exists to contribute to the major initiatives that supports the
overall purpose: the ruling and stewardship of God’ s creation, the
salvation of individuals, the sanctification of the believers and
above all the transformation of society.
9. Business is Relational…
Relationships is fundamental to life. God
said, “It is not good for man to be alone”
(Gen.2:18)
Business provides a unique matrix of relationships. Through the
setting up of business and its operation, God sovereignly and
graciously provides access to individuals whom we would
otherwise never meet or spend time with.
Business can also be an instrument in discipleship of the nation
towards a total societal transformation.
10. Business is operational…
Operations refers simply to the how of running a
business.
Determining what it is that you believe and care
about, then building your organization on that
foundation, is at the heart of every great company.
This is what is called “core ideology” – a summary
form of all that God called them to live by and the
culture He desired including the core values of the
organization.
To run an excellent company, we need the wisdom of
the Lord, the ability to know what is the right time
in each situation. ( Prov. 3:13-18)
11. ETHICS: Letting your Light Shine.
Ethics is dealing with what is good and bad, right or
wrong, or that moral duty & obligations.
Integrity is the uncompromising adherence to a code of
moral values; utter sincerity, honesty, and candor,
avoidance of deception, expediency, artificially or
shallowness of any kind. It is the one that gives ethics a
true meaning. It is ethics translated into belief and
behavior-to do what is true, good, decent, honorable
and sincere and to refrain from doing what is bad or
immoral.
12. THE INTEGRATION OF BUSINESS
AS A MISSION
INTEGRATION means that multiple substance are
joined together so that no future separation is possible.
There is integrity- “Oneness” meaning every aspect of
their lives-home, church, leisure, and business-is under
the rule of God! Life is a whole and is holistically
submitted to God’s authority. Since leaders view
business as part of God’s call, he/she ministers in it,
from it and through it. Business is not the totality of
ministry anymore than it is the totality of LIFE. It is a
venue for service, just as family, church and
community are. God is at the center, integrating
everything and flowing into and through every avenue
of LIFE.
13. JOURNEY TOWARDS MANY CHANGES
WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
The point is to be on the journey and moving towards our
destination… learning, growing, changing and
correcting.
WHAT TO DO NOW?
5. CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK
6. REORDER OUR MENTAL CATEGORIES AND OUR LIFE
PRIORITIES TO REFLECT BIBLICAL TRUTH OF
BUSINESS
14. CHANGING THE WAY WE THINK…
Our perceptions are governed by our beliefs,
and our beliefs are not always biblical. We
are often blinded by our traditions as it is
the “common” practice of majority so it is
accepted and it must be right; since
everyone is doing it, there is no real
pressure to change it.
Thinking differently leads us to acting
differently. If we begin to realize that God
has sanctified business and called us into
it while inviting us to be involved with Him
in His global work, we will feel a powerful
impetus to change how we live and how
we lead our businesses.
15. PLANNING THE WAY WE WORK
How do we turn our thoughts into
reality?
3. Create a solid foundation
4. Articulate a direction
5. Identify your targets and objectives
6. Focus on your strategies
7. Draft and assign quarterly action items
8. Schedule your regular accountability
16. Creating a foundation…
Corporate core values:
2. Excellence
3. Integrity
4. Customer Orientation
5. Teamwork
6. Concern for People
The best business values are anchored on the moral
teachings of the bible and aligned with your belief
that God called you to do such business.
17. Articulating a direction…
Qualities of a good leader:
2. Values driven
3. Missions directed
4. Vision focused
5. Strategy guided
With the guidance of a good leader; everything will be possible. A
good leader must also be good, honest, responsible and a
person of high integrity. There must be consistency of direction
and guidance of the leader in leading the team.
“WE MUST WALK OUR TALK”
18. VICTORIOUS LIVING IN A
COMPLEX WORLD…
We have come to the end of our journey of many changes; that is
changing the way we think if we want to change our life. We learn
to live a simple life and let God directs us by TRUSTING HIM in
everything we do. Above all, we will be able to cope up with the
present and future challenges that will come knowing that He
already provided us everything we have to live for because of His
great LOVE for us. Whatever we do with all His creations, wealth,
talents, wisdom, knowledge and other provisions is our GIFT back
to HIM. Surely, we will give HIM the best we can as good
STEWARDS.
We have to remember always that He is in CONTROL as what His
plans and purposes are in us. We are not only CONQUERORS
but we are OVERCOMERS and VICTORIOUS in GOD’ s graces
and mercy!!!
19. TO GOD BE ALL THE
GLORY!!!
“ AND WE KNOW ALLTHINGS
WORK TOGETHER FOR THE
GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE
HIM; HE/SHE WHO HAS BEEN
CALLED FOR HIS PURPOSE”.
Romans 8:28
