Station in Protected Bike Lane
Siting Tips
• The rebalancing site is as important as the
station site.
• Locate station adjacent to a bike lane or trail,
when feasible.
• Prefer location at corner for visibility and ped
safety.
• Don’t impact sight distance.
• Locate less than 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from the nearest
station.
• Public ROW and private property with public use
easements are preferable over private property.
Conclusion
The perfect site…
...does not exist!
But hopefully there are some decent options.
