Isolation and Characterization of a Novel Duck Hepatitis A Virus Genotype 3 i...submissionclinmedima
1. Researchers isolated and characterized a novel duck hepatitis A virus (DHAV) genotype 3 strain called HBGT/China/2014 from infected ducklings in Hebei Province, China.
2. Phylogenetic analysis showed that HBGT/China/2014 was most closely related to a Chinese goose isolate and Korean isolates. It belonged to DHAV-3 genotype IV.
3. Animal experiments demonstrated that HBGT/China/2014 was highly pathogenic, causing clinical signs and death in ducklings. Histological examination showed liver damage. This provides evidence that DHAV continues to mutate, requiring an improved vaccine.
Primary lymphoma of the colon accounts for only 0.2-1.2% of all malignant colonic tumours. The gastrointestinal tract is affected in 30-40% of all primary extra-nodal lymphomas [1, 2]. Early diagnosis may preclude severe complications, such as perforation, haemorrhage or intestinal obstruction
Cryptococcosis; idiopathic CD4+ T-cell lymphocytopenia; Opportunistic Infections 2. Clinical Image A 50-year-old male with a past medical history of psoriasis presented with a two-week history of progressively worsening fatigue, low-grade fevers and throbbing frontal headaches, and several ulcerated papules of varying size (1-5mm) with central crusting and surrounding erythema noted on the forearms, chest, back and feet
A 54 year-old man, HIV seropositive since 2011, with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) and a previous diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis presented with a history of fever, productive cough and weight loss of 15 days duration. Physical examination revealed a temperature of 38 °C, cachectic status, dyspnea, hemoptysis, tachycardia, and tachypnea and disseminated bilateral crackles.
L-glutamic acid (Glu-glutamate) is one of the major and strongest stimulatory neurotransmitters (along with aspartic acid, chinolic acid and glicyne) at the majority of excitatory synapses in the Central Nervous System (CNS), Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) and peripheral tissues and organs of mammals and well as non-mammals

1) Poland Syndrome is a rare congenital disorder characterized by unilateral absence of chest wall muscles and abnormally short, webbed fingers on the same side. It occurs in 1 in 30,000 live births.
2) This case report describes a female newborn with left-sided absence of the pectoralis major muscle and a hypoplastic left nipple, but normal hands. This represents an atypical presentation of Poland Syndrome.
3) The cause of Poland Syndrome is unknown but may involve disruption of blood flow to the subclavian artery or tissues of the embryonic lateral plate mesoderm early in development. It can present variably from isolated muscle abnormalities to combined muscle and limb anomalies.
Intracerebral Mass and Medullary Compression Syndrome as Manifestation of HIV...submissionclinmedima
A 44-year-old woman with HIV was admitted to the hospital with fever, back pain, numbness, and paralysis. Imaging showed osteolytic lesions on her spine and an expansive brain lesion causing compression of her frontal lobe. She was started on treatment for tuberculosis, toxoplasmosis, and dexamethasone for medullary compression. After two weeks, antiretroviral therapy was initiated. Craniectomy revealed an adenocarcinoma. She developed respiratory and urinary infections and died. The case highlights the importance of screening for pre-malignant lesions in HIV patients.

The physiological and behavioural characteristics of human being are used for personal identification, where about one of the most crucial physiological characteristic is lip print. Lip prints are unique patterns presents at the dermal surface of lips. The lips are lined with the vermillion border and further is characterised as lower and upper lip.
Suac Syndrome is an autoimmune endotheliopathy with about 304 cases described until 2013. It charaterized by the triad of E-H-V (Encephalopathy, Hearing loss and Vision - branch retinal artery occlusions/BRAO [3]. bariatric surgery has succeeded in providing sustained weight
loss[1]. Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (LSG) accounts for approximately 30% of bariatric procedures performed worldwide, and
its coexistence with situsinversus is one in a million. Most of the
global documented procedures in situsinversus involve gas-tric
bands, gastric ypass, and cholecystectomies [2]. Situs Inversus is a
congenital developmental anomaly wherein the abdominal organs
are reversed or mirrored to the opposite side of the body through
the sagittal plane. In contrast, situsinversus totalis is a similar
condition in which both the thoracic and abdominal con-tents are
reversed [2]. Transmitted through an autosomal recessive
inheritance, these anomalies have been in vogue since the 17th
century

Parameters such as FTIR and Raman vibrational wavelengths and intensities for single crystal supramolecular aggregates of (CA*M) cyanuric acid (CA) and melamine (M) are calculated using density functional theory and were compared with empirical results. The investigation about vibrational spectrum of cycle dimers in crystal with carboxyl groups from each molecule of acid was shown that it leads to create Hydrogen bounds for adjacent molecules.
Sentinel Lymph Node Detection in Patients with Cervical Cancer – Case Reportsubmissionclinmedima
This case report describes sentinel lymph node detection in 19 patients with cervical cancer at a hospital in Spain between 2013-2018. A radioactive tracer and blue dye were injected into the cervix before surgery to identify the sentinel lymph nodes, which were successfully detected in all cases using a gamma probe. While lymphadenectomy was also performed for validation purposes, sentinel lymph node detection demonstrated a high detection rate and accuracy based on histopathological analysis, with only two false negatives found. The report concludes that sentinel lymph node detection is a promising technique for cervical cancer, but further validation is still needed before it can replace full lymphadenectomy.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.
