3. Perry, is a town of just under 10,000
residents in the heart of Iowa. Rich in
tradition, steeped in small town values, and
overflowing with warm, and friendly
people.
Both active in the community, Shelley and
JC grew up here and have chosen to raise
their family here as well.
Perry is also very centrally located within
our service territory. The Des Moines metro
area is just 25 minutes from us. This locale
also affords us quick access to Ames and
Carroll.
Why locate in Perry?
4. If you aren’t from our area, you may not know that our facility was,
itself, a fire restoration project. A devastating fire nearly destroyed
the whole building which sat empty for several years after.
JC and Shelley bought a burned out bowling alley, The Kegel East,
and turned it into Rainbow International of Des Moines.
A portion of the original, single story structure still stands and was
integrated into the design.
from humble beginnings…
5. What exactly do you do?
We offer a complete line of restoration services
including
â—¦ Fire Restoration & Repairs
â—¦ Smoke Restoration & Repairs
â—¦ Water Restoration & Repairs
â—¦ Mold Mitigation & Repairs
â—¦ Trauma scene, death scene and crime scene
clean-up
â—¦ Content Cleaning
â—¦ Board up & Tarp over services
â—¦ Carpet, upholstery and hard surface cleaning
We also offer complete construction
services. We keep most trades on staff
ensuring quality workmanship and
eliminating the need to work with
multiple contractors during the loss and
subsequent rebuilding process.
6. We have two conference rooms at
our facility that we use regularly for
Continuing Education classes, client
meetings, staff training and company
sponsored social events.
Additionally, they are used for family
gatherings and fund raising events in
the community like our annual Chili
Cook-Off benefitting our local
volunteer fire association.
What are the meeting
rooms used for?
7. Do you have to have separate
warehouse space for dirty
contents?
Yes. Keeping dirty contents separate from
the rest of the facility is very important. Our
dirty content storage is climate controlled
and contained within a specific area of the
building.
Contents brought to our facility from fire
scenes, for instance, are contaminated
with smoke residue. Many times, they have
a strong odor prior to cleaning.
By keeping them separate and contained,
we eliminate the risk of contaminating not
only other parts of the building, but items
that have already been cleaned, as well.
8. Content Cleaning
Ultra-Sonic Station
Cleaning Stations
Much like our dirty contents storage,
our Content Cleaning Department is
kept separate from other parts of the
facility, and for the same reasons.
Our content technicians are highly
trained in the best practices for
restoring personal items to pre-loss
condition.
We also have a full service laundry
department. Clients clothing, bedding
and other textiles are cleaned, and
deodorized. We offer specialty
cleaning services for wedding gowns
and other delicate items.
In addition to cleaning, we are able to
offer antique wood furniture
restoration and refinishing services
when needed.
9. Clean Content Storage
Once items have completed the restoration process, it is
important that they be stored properly, in a climate
controlled area until they are returned to the client’s home or
business.
After the cleaning and ozone processes are complete, small
items are carefully wrapped and packed into boxes. Larger
items and furniture pieces are carefully wrapped to prevent
damage while being transported back to the client’s home
or business.
10. Drying Equipment
Maintenance & Storage
As a restoration company, it is
vital that we have an extensive
supply of drying equipment at
our disposal at all times.
Equally important is the need to
maintain and store the
equipment properly.
Our Equipment Technician is
responsible for cleaning and
servicing each item after each
use and making sure it is in
good working order before it is
put back into inventory.
11. Woodworking Shop
It is important to us to offer our clients all the services they need
during the restoration and rebuilding process. As part of that
commitment, we maintain a complete woodworking shop.
Here, we build custom units, like kitchen cabinets. We also utilize this
area for the restoration of wood furniture as needed.
12. Commitment to Our Team
Our team is an important part of our
business. We take pride in our employees
and recruit and maintain only the best
talent available. We provide them with
the training, certifications and resources
they need because providing them with
the resources they need is key to their
individual success, and to the success of
our team as a whole.
As part our commitment to them, we also
offer amenities like men’s and ladies’
locker rooms so that they can change
clothes, even shower before returning
home. We also provide a full service
kitchen and encourage team members
to utilize it for meetings and lunches. And
our team members have use of the
conference rooms, rec area and
workout center at their disposal.
