2. The Met, is the largest art
museum in the USA, also
being one of the most visited
in the world. Its permanent
collection contains over 2
million works. The main
building, is on the eastern
side of Central Park, New
York.
3. In the Met you can find
paintings, sculptures, musical
instruments, armors, weapons,
costumes and accessories, and
even remains of buildings!
Most of these objects some
from the entire world,
including: Africa, Asia,
Oceania, European and
American art.
4. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870 for purposes
of education to American people. Today however, it has both
educational and entertaining values, as one of the world most
popular and famous galas takes place here. The Met Gala.
