San Pedro Cemetery Museum
The museum was founded in 1842 by an  initiative put forth by 50 aristocratic families that wanted  to  have a place of their own for their deceased .

The cemetery was declared museum in 1998 and Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 1999
thanks to its architecture, and the historical and artistic content of its mausoleums .  It holds the remains of important artists, businessmen, industrialists, and politicians .
San Pedro Cemetery Museum Likewise, every two months we hold our “Full Moon Night” with guided tours through the most important mausoleums
and a complementary artistic activity, including music, a play, dancing, story-telling, or a poetry  recital .
Museo de Antioquia The Museum was founded in 1881  a group, including  Manuel Uribe Angel , Antonio José Restrepo and Martin Gómez, established the Zea Museum in honor of  Francisco Antonio Zea .
The first collection contained books and historical and artistic artifacts of its founders .
The Museum is located in the facilities formerly occupied by the old Palacio Municipal; and now cataloged as a National Monument .
Museo de Antioquia  The  Museo de Antioquia  offers visitors the opportunity to appreciate temporary, itinerant, and permanent exhibits .
Its salons hold pre-Hispanic, Colonial, Republican, and Contemporary art,
including paintings, sculptures, photographs, caricatures, and drawings by national and international artists.
The Botero Collection, the main attraction at the  Museo de Antioquia , contains 108 paintings by Fernando Botero, one of the great exponents of the arts in the world.
The plaza Botero In addition, 23 monumental sculptures by the same artist are exhibited on the Plaza Botero, a wide open expanse facing the Museum's main entrance.
This plaza was designed by the same Fernando Botero, who ranked strategically its 23 pieces, two sources of water and planting trees around them. The works were cast in bronze in traditional workshops Pietra Santa, Italy, where the artist carefully directs the production process of molds and casts, made by skilled craftsmen and the designers that previously made ​​Antioquia.
Museum of modern Art Founded in 1978, the museum fosters contemporary artistic practices through the work of renown national and international artists. However, its traditional address in the Carlos E. Restrepo neighborhood for the last 3 decades is to be no more.
The museum holds works of great artistic and historical value, including an important sampling of work done by Antioquia's own Débora Arango as well The museum is slated to move to its new headquarters in October 2009.
Beginning on this date the museum will occupy the former structure of a smelting plant, thus converting an industrial-use space into a site for modern and contemporary art. Its diverse cultural offer and venues such as restaurants and stores make of MAMM an ideal place to visit.
