The Melton Foundation promotes global citizenship by encouraging individuals and organizations to collaborate across boundaries on shared global challenges. It does this through hands-on projects involving a growing network of Melton Fellows from universities worldwide. The Foundation has both Junior and Senior Fellow programs, with Juniors receiving experiential training through workshops, homestays, and projects to develop skills for effective global citizenship. Senior Fellows act as lifelong mentors and contributors through various leadership roles, continuing their commitment to the Foundation's mission of promoting global citizenship.

We accomplish this through a portfolio of hands-on projects and activities that involve a growing network of Melton Fellows, universities, and partners in diverse world regions who share our commitment to promoting global citizenship.
- 4. • Melton Fellows are divided among junior and senior fellows • The Junior Fellowship is a two-year program while Fellows are still undergraduate students. • The main purpose of the Junior Fellow program is to provide deep experiential learning in order to train and empower fellows to become global citizens. This is achieved by a combination of face-to-face and online workshops, events, and home stays for skill training and advanced knowledge about global citizenship, global citizenship projects as opportunities for experiential learning , and cross-cultural team-building activities that create the social capital needed to be sustainable and effective across boundaries of culture, geography, age, and discipline.
- 5. • The Melton Fellowship is a lifelong endeavor. Senior fellows contribute and participate as mentors, facilitators, trainers, project leaders, Board members, financial contributors, and life-long learners. In turn the Melton Foundation supports Senior Fellows through grants, guidance, and technical and infrastructure assistance. • Today, the Melton Foundation has over 400 Senior Fellows spread all over the world. As doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, consultants and artists, and in myriad other fields, Senior Fellows combine their knowledge and skills with active participation in supporting the global network and furthering our mission.
