This document discusses a forum held by the Maeng tribe to discuss partnerships for protecting their ancestral domain and culture. It provides background on the Maeng tribe's traditional governance system called Dap-ay and describes their ancestral land, which contains important watersheds and biodiversity. However, it is threatened by mining, geohazards, boundary conflicts and water diversion. The forum explored partnership areas such as implementing their ancestral domain sustainability plan, managing watersheds, registering their conserved areas, resolving conflicts, and supporting livelihoods projects centered around herbal products. The goal is to strengthen traditional governance and stewardship of their lands and culture.
