Eduardo Martinez, a sailor, witnessed a strange event while his fishing boat passed by Puntas Ninfas Lighthouse. When the lighthouse suddenly turned off, Eduardo went to investigate. Inside, a ghostly figure was swinging in a chair - it was the spirit of Eduardo's wife Margarita, who had died years ago when Eduardo's ship sank. Margarita explained that she had been waiting in the lighthouse for Eduardo to return so they could be reunited. When Eduardo took her hand, Margarita died peacefully. Sailors later reported hearing the happy voices of a man and woman near the eternally lit lighthouse.

2.  During a night in March, not so lo ago, something weird
happened in Puntas Ninfas Lighthouse, 50 kilometres away
from Puerto Madryn.
 A fishing boat was sailing in calm waters; fourteen sailors
were chilling out in the store, the captain was in charge of the
boat and the old Eduardo Martínez was watching the stars
that did not stop amazing him in spite of being a professional
sailor for 43 years.
 Guided by the Lighthouse they continued their course, but
when they passed through it, it went off completely. Alarmed
by what it means to be in complete darkness in the sea,
Eduardo asked the captain to wait and got off the ship to fix
the light.
 The man, took courage and entered the lighthouse, he went
upstairs and before getting to the top something called his
attention.

3.  Scared, he wanted to go back but his feet wouldn't respond,
and without control of his own body his feet kept going.
 In front of the lightbulb, he saw a rusty chair swinging back
and forwards over and over again. In it, a lady wrapped in a
bluish sheet was crying with pain. Eduardo touched the
woman in her shoulder and went petrified when he
recognised Margarita in her face, his wife, who had died
sixteen years ago.
 White as a ghost, he stared and asked why she was crying.
She looked at him with tired eyes and a weak smile while her
tears ran through the wrinkles, and almost with a whisper
she explained to him that she was crying of sadness because
her husband had taken a long time to find her.
 The old man, without realizing much asked if she had been
sitting there since the day she died. “Yes”, she answered.

4.  “I‘ve been here since the fourth of February 1945, the day you
died, the day your ship sank. I‘ve been here, sitting, waiting
for your love to find me, to take my soul and take it to sail
through the sea with yours.” she told him.
 Immediately, he took her hand. The lady closed her eyes and
with a smile she stopped breathing. Her body was found
weeks laters, sitting in the same old rusty chair that didn’t
swing any more. Looking at her, they recognised the widow
of Eduardo Martínez, one of the sixteen crew members that
passed away during summer in 1945 when their ship sank
near the lighthouse.
 Knowing that she had been waiting for her husband to come
back sitting in the lighthouse, the neighbours of Puerto
Madryn, called her ‘The Mad Widow’.

5.  The ones who are used to sailing those waters say that when
you pass near that place, you can listen to happy laughs and
hums of a woman and a man. Since that day, the lighthouse
never went off again.
