The attacks against the doctrine of the investigative judgement have increased recently and require deeper study. One of the early proponents of righteousness by faith was misled into preaching against the investigative judgement, showing how dangerous it is to reject truth. The investigative judgement arose from study after the 1844 disappointment to understand if the calculations were correct, leading to the discovery of the sanctuary truth and the realisation that the event expected was not the second coming but Christ's entrance into the most holy place. The investigative judgement is an integral part of the sanctuary message and is found throughout the Bible, with obedience being required for acceptance into God's kingdom. True love is shown through obedience to God and His law.

1. The Investigative Judgement
Of recent the attacks against the investigative judgement have been increased since
the initial mild and unsustained attacks. The continual and sharper thrusts have
demanded a deeper study from all true disciples of Christ as to the question of
whether the investigative judgement is truly a true doctrine.
Interestingly enough one of the persons who so correctly presented the message of
Righteousness by Faith in 1888 is one of the same persons who satan misled and
caused to preach against the doctrine of the investigative judgement. How
dangerous it is for the Christian family to reject a message of truth, it damages the
organization and drives the messenger to rather dangerous grounds.
The doctrine of investigative judgement arose as a result of deep study after the
great disappointment of 1844 and the resulting question: Did we get the
calculations correct? Constantly retracing the scriptures, the pioneers observed that
all calculations were in fact accurate and hence the event expected was the error.
By turning their eyes away from the earth and looking steadfastly to heaven the
truth of the sanctuary was revealed. The investigative judgement is an integral part
of the true sanctuary message.
To quote the words of Winston Baker ‘The investigative judgement is not a
doctrine of any person, it is the doctrine of the bible (the word of God).’ Just as
how Righteousness by Faith is found throughout the entire bible in much the same
way Investigative judgement is found. The Gospelhas ever been about continuing
in the light received there has never been another way presented that would make
us accepted in the kingdom of God. Love has ever been a word of action in God’s
bookand true love would manifest itself in obedience.
The disobedient show their lack of love for God and thus express enmity; not
merely to the law but also to God (who is the lawgiver). Recognition of such truth
allows us to realize that the gospel has always placed life (with obedience being
the terms of acceptance) and death (through our disobedience) as the two choices
before us. This is the choice Adam received and every human has received the
same set of choices since the fall of man.

2. Recognize the instructions given to the woman caught in the act of adultery ‘Go
and sin no more’ John 8:11. Recognize the teaching of the apostles ‘God sentHis
Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh’ Romans
8:3 Forthis reason He was manifest, to destroy the works of the devil’ 1 John 3:5.
What glorious promises the bible has to offer. Continued obedience is not
something we can attain all by ourselves, we must take hold of Christ by Faith and
ask for a cleansing that He will gladly give if only we are willing to OBEY.
The investigative judgement occurs by use of the word which is sharper than a
two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). The word will thus either be to your death or it
will cut away dross from your life.
