Being an experienced business leader, what is your
opinion on the adaptation of newer technological
developments to sustain your organization's market
competency?
I think the human capital landscape is going to
continue to change over the next few years. Cisive
will be at the forefront. We are going to continue to
develop leading-edge technology as the approach to
talent acquisition and management continues to
evolve.
The nature of background screening is going to
undergo a revolution in the next few years due to
advances in technologies such as distributed ledgers
(blockchain) and this will change the business models
for background screening companies. We are and will
continue to seize on this growing opportunity.
Taking into consideration, the current pandemic,
and its impact on global economies, how are you
driving your organization to enhance operations and
ensuring safety of your employees at the same time?
In April 2020, Cisive released SAFE19, a COVID-19
Clearinghouse solution, developed to address the
world's journey to re-open after the coronavirus
pandemic. Cisive's SAFE19 solution is a secure,
paperless, central repository specifically designed to
handle the uploading, validation, and compliance
reporting on COVID-19 test and immunization data.
With SAFE19, governments, businesses, and
education institutions can safely re-open while
controlling the spread of COVID-19.
Also, SAFE19 is a flexible, data-driven solution
designed to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 with the
capability to evolve as vaccines and various testing
options become available. The system has the
capability to use an individual's profile data and
immunization status to generate a digital or physical
badge to verify their immunity.
Moreover, SAFE19 protects public health data and
eliminates privacy concerns by offering a solution
that is federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA) compliant. Designed to provide peace of
mind to both organizations and end-users, SAFE19
provides confirmation authenticity of testing with
dispute resolution to ensure the validity of individual
records.
In May 2020, Cisive announced its CONTACT19
contact tracing solution, designed to allow employers

to take a proactive approach to testing and contact
tracing to ensure the safety of their workforce. The
program encourages employees to self-report if they
have COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test and can
identify and notify other employees who may have
been in proximity, making recommendations for
isolation or quarantine.
In June 2020, to complete its suite of COVID-19
compliance solutions, Cisive released its ACCESS19
solution. ACCESS19 is a secure, paperless, safety
solution specifically designed to allow businesses to
resume day-to-day operations while keeping their
workforce safe from COVID-19.
ACCESS19 eliminates paper documentation COVID-
19 attestation processes for businesses by enabling
the entire procedure to be complete from a secure,
mobile device. ACCESS19 provides attestation digital
badges valid for one day, minimizing the risk of
coronavirus by enforcing daily attestation
procedures.
With these three solutions, our team can ensure the
ongoing safety of employees and remain compliant
with federal, state, and local guidelines.
What would be your advice to the emerging
entrepreneurs aspiring to make an impact on the
world of business?
Don't give up! You will definitely run into roadblocks
that will make you doubt yourself along the way. Just
remember the following: Dream big. Plan loosely.
Take action. Adjust accordingly. There's no straight
path toward success or achieving your goals.
Where do you envision your organization to be in
the long run and what are your future goals?
Looking ahead, the company will continue to expand
its global footprint. At the rate it is growing, Cisive

health information on the Internet. But the
chances of that information being appropriate are
low. This can lead to results that are full of
misinformation, bias from medical advertisers, and
unsupported or misleading health claims. Taking this
dilemma into consideration, a mission-based company,

A Holistic Consumer Digital Health Experience
An inceptive mind behind ConnectWell is Andrea
Bloom, the Founder and CEO of the company. As a child
of a physician, Andrea’s exposure to the field of
healthcare from an early age became a springboard for
her career and passion for helping people achieve well-
being. After receiving her BA from UC Berkeley and
MBA from Harvard Business School, Andrea started
her career in healthcare at Johnson and Johnson’s
diabetes division in Silicon Valley. This is where she
developed skills in educating people with type 2
diabetes on how they could successfully manage their
disease through healthy eating and increased physical
activity.
Andrea realized that many people were exposed to
healthy lifestyle practices only after they were
diagnosed with a chronic condition. Most people have
an opportunity to prevent, delay, and reduce the
severity of chronic diseases if they have ongoing access

engages them to be more proactive in preventing
disease and adopting healthy habits.
Observing these trends, Andrea founded ConnectWell,
and shifted her focus from disease management to
wellness. Behind this effort, Andrea assembled a
Scientific Advisory Board comprised of subject matter
experts in different areas of wellness. She built a team
of talented, experienced individuals with diverse
backgrounds who could hit the ground running and
work in an entrepreneurial and collaborative
environment. Together they created and deployed
consumer-oriented wellness programming in the areas
of healthy eating, physical activity, stress management,
sleep, and maternal health.
Andrea could see the digital revolution unfolding and
that it would soon impact the healthcare industry. The
ability to scale health information for easy access,
anytime and anywhere, was about to explode. In 2017,
ConnectWell formed a partnership with the UC
Berkeley School of Public Health, a pioneer in providing
evidence-based wellness information, to digitize and
disseminate their vast collection of health and wellness
publications. ConnectWell’s lifestyle-focused content
and UC Berkeley’s condition management content was
the perfect combination to create a holistic consumer
digital health experience. This partnership enables the
company to serve large communities and cross
socioeconomic and geographic boundaries through a

A Comprehensive Content Suite
ConnectWell works with a broad array of healthcare
providers, health engagement platforms, medical
device companies, benefit providers, and employers

The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed how people
prioritize and engage in their health and interact with
the healthcare system. Virtual care models are key
factors to engaging people in their health and well-
being. Accessible, accurate, current, expertly vetted

people can make informed health decisions.
In December 2020, ConnectWell launched an
interactive digital health tools offering with Outgrow,

Finally, Kerubiel launched two projects aiming to
utilize AI and VR based solutions. One project aims
to simplify Cybersecurity utilizing a new AI-based
solution. The other project is a VR based health
application to provide help for patients recovering
from stroke. Furthermore, Kerubiel is also
developing a new IoT based solution for the
orthodontic, in close cooperation with knowledge
centers, such as the University of Pisa and the
University of Malta, and British and Cyprian
research centers.

Being an experienced business leader, what is your
opinion on the adaptation of newer technological
developments to sustain your organization’s market
competency?
Industrial operations, despite their aggressive focus on
Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 are notoriously
slow to deploy the latest technologies broadly, and
rightly so. Pushing new solutions into operations
creates waste. Technology that brings distinct and
sustainable value, while avoiding disruption is often
pulled into operations by forward thinking teams. And
while it’s critical that technology providers stay ahead
of the curve, understanding how industrial operations
consume new technologies like AI and Machine
Learning is the difference between delivering tools that
bring value and the “shiny new object” that sits on the
shelf unused. Technical expertise is key, but so is deep
domain knowledge coupled with understanding how
these companies transform.
Taking into consideration, the current pandemic, and
its impact on global economies, how are you driving
your organization to enhance operations and ensuring
safety of your employees at the same time?
Safety of our team and those with whom we’re in
contact is critical. We closely followed guidance on
workplace safety and have used video calls extensively.
Oddly enough, we’ve seen customers benefit in a
number of ways. Because we consume data in its
rawest form, with no preparation or definition from
local teams, we’ve been able to conduct all our projects
remotely. But more importantly, the pandemic has
created excessive demands on smaller teams. The
ability to make better use of the data and systems
companies already have, in order to provide advanced
warning to downtime, disruptions, quality issues or
process deviations is literally like adding heads to an
operation without the costs - it virtually expands the
team’s ability to produce more effectively. All without
us ever being on site.
What would be your advice to the emerging
entrepreneurs aspiring to make an impact on the
world of business?
There’s no magic. It’s about going deep on the issues
that keep your target market from performing at their
peak, and then building a great team that delivers value.
Leaders need to do the difficult work, and build up
those around them in any number of ways. If you can
develop a skill stack consistent with that notion, you
will be successful.
Where do you envision your organization to be in the
long run and what are your future goals?
Our goals are to continue to expand our base and
simplify the deployment of our analytic engine. The
keys to that are first delivering value for the customer,
and second, building exceptional teams internally and
at those customers. We are in an untapped space,
where our competitors are still focused on push vs pull,
building large organizations that then do things, instead
of exposing value and building the teams to harvest it.
The market opportunity for us is massive, and the gains
customers will see will be orders of magnitude beyond
that.

Cisive's SAFE19 solution is a secure, paperless, central repository specifically designed to handle the uploading, validation, and compliance reporting on COVID-19 test and immunization data.
