:ABOUT THE MOVIE:
REASON FOR CHOOSING:
The main reason behind choosing this movie is:
 My personal interest in watching battle and warfare movies.
 Because of one of my best actor playing the leading role Jeremy
Renner.
 “WAR IS A DRUG” a quotation which is so realistic. As we see not
even in movies and dramas, even in real life everyone is solving their
personal problems by making pollution of war. War is a good choice
for fighting with enemies but not a good choice to pollute the society.

SUMMARY OF THE MOVIE:
“The Hurt Locker” was filmed in Amman, whose streets,
in spite of the filmmakers' efforts to simulate Iraq's
rubble and crippled, half-starved cats, will strike anyone
familiar with Baghdad as a little too spiffy.
The movie is based on the accounts of American
journalist Mark Boal, who was embedded with an
American bomb squad in the war in Iraq. Boal also co-
produced the movie. The press pack for Kathryn
Bigelow's film claims "hurt locker" is GI slang for severe
injury. But the film's writer, who picked up on the phrase
during his time as an embedded journalist with an
Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit in 2004, is rather more
vague in his definition.
ANALYSIS OF THE MOVIE:
A lot of movies begin with poetic quotations,
but “The Hurt Locker” opens with a
statement presented as fact: “War is a drug.”
After watching this movie I noticed that this
movie is directly linked to those soldiers who
risked their lives for us. Defusing the bombs
is not so easy task. It needs brave heart, guts
and presence of mind to make this all
happen. We should respect our soldiers and
appreciate them because fighting a war is not
a kids game.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This poster targets multiple audiences. The most
prominent one is people who enjoy watching war films
or films that have armed forces in them. The poster
features a possible soldier, wearing armour for bomb
defusing. So people will see these signifiers of war and
want to watch the film, if they enjoy this genre.
Another possible target audience is people who enjoy
action films. This is possible because the man wearing
the bomb defusing armour is surrounded by some sort of
bomb. The audience will know that bombs explode and
then associate explosions with the action genre. One of
the reviews on the poster says ‘a full-tilt action picture’
which will further persuade fans of the action genre to
watch the film.
