Jade and Benedict have twins, Gold and Platinum, who unfortunately do not have the rainbow eyes. Jade continues working as a dancer while pregnant. They have a third child on the way. The ghosts are very active, scaring family members frequently. It's the twins' birthday soon and they are ready with good skills. Jade goes into labor with her third child at the end of the chapter.

2. Welcome back to The Hues Legacy! Last chapter saw Sapphire and our
heiress, Jade, go through college, and then we saw the (sometimes
harrowing) lives of Jade’s siblings. Now we’re back at the main house
where Violet and Hobart have been busy flirting for four years while
waiting for Jade to return.

3. Jade has indeed returned, and she brought her boyfriend, Benedict
Arnold (not a joke; actually his name) home with her. Jade is focused on
topping the dance career for her LTW, so she immediately jumps on the
computer to hunt for jobs while Benedict helpfully checks her out and
plays with Bronze the dog. Unfortunately, dance is not to be had yet. Nor
is science, which Benedict needs to reach his LTW of being a Mad
Scientist. Benedict is a knowledge/family sim, by the way, and his
personality is 8/7/6/1/3.

4. The next day, Benedict does make himself useful, however, by
proposing to Jade on a blustery winter day that nonetheless has not
affected our sunflowers. It does make for a pretty picture, so realism
schmealism.

5. Meanwhile, Violet had what seemed like about a dozen different
wants for a new puppy or kitty, and we do need to continue Bronze’s
line eventually, so we adopted a little white puppy and named her
Viridian. She was chosen for being the only white puppy, because I’m
hoping if their offspring gets her base coat, more of Bronze’s mostly-
hidden Dalmatian spots may show up more. In a good sign, Bronze
takes to Viridian instantly.

6. Life is moving quickly around here, so it’s already time that very same
day for Benedict to shed his last name and become a Hues. Jade gets
all dolled up and waits upstairs in the playroom so the guests will
have time to find their seats. She looks lovely, doesn’t she?

7. Unfortunately, as soon as she hits the cold air outside, Jade changes
into her coat, leaving a less-than-desirable picture of her about to
walk down the aisle. Everyone else is wearing their formal wear.
You’d think the bride could stand some chilly shoulders for a little
while.

8. Even the guests seem to be wondering about Jade. The guests are,
of course, her parents and siblings. I just wanted a small family
wedding, and the multitude of lights placed around are because
depending on how long the ceremony took, night might come on
during it. I was starting to get a little worried that Jade wasn’t going
to change back to her wedding gown.

9. “Ha, fooled ya!”
Obviously, she did change once she reached the arch. Thank
goodness. No more pranks, okay, Jade? I already lost a few years
off my lifespan watching your nephew burn to death last
chapter.

10. The ceremony went off without a hitch after that, and just as the
couple kissed for the first time as a married pair, darkness fell,
creating a very dramatic picture.

11. Neon and Eggshell are out for the wedding party and ready to
scare some guests! Haleigh mentioned that Sinjin’s grave had gone
missing and indeed it is, but all of the dogs’ graves besides
Eggshell’s are gone too. It’s sad to lose the ghosts, though it’s not
like the family is ever lacking for ghosts on my computer for some
reason. :/

12. In fact, Neon is sure to make her presence felt, scaring both
the bride and the groom while they chatted, and hitting a
few of the other family members as well.

13. Except for Neon, the party went well.
Benedict and Jade couldn’t take their
eyes off each other, but the real stars
of the party were the dogs. They kept
Jade’s siblings endlessly entertained.
Everyone especially wanted to play
with Viridian, because you know few
sims can resist a puppy.

14. Both generations of Hues couples snuck away for some
private time during the party, which didn’t hurt the party
score, of course. *wink*

15. Altogether, the party was a total success, and after a good
night’s sleep (Neon doesn’t know how to climb stairs) Jade
and Benedict headed off for their honeymoon.

16. They landed in Three Lakes and
immediately headed off to the spa.
They spent nearly a full day there,
learning the local greeting, the
slap dance, and deep tissue
massage, as well as soaking in the
hot springs and eating flapjacks.
Finally they wound up their
relaxing time with some “special
activities” in the sauna.

17. After that, these two knowledge sims both wanted to meet Bigfoot,
but neither had a map, so they dug and dug and dug holes until they
found the required map. The masseuse looks thrilled about the mess
they’re making, don’t you think?

18. At the Hidden Burrow the next day after some more sightseeing,
they both tried to befriend Bigfoot, but the only time I’ve ever been
able to get it to register was when I sped things along with a voodoo
doll. I’m guessing you need to actually make best friends or
something, because just befriending him isn’t enough. Regardless,
Jade conked out on Bigfoot’s hammock long before she got to that
point, and her needs were dropping so precipitously that Benedict
had to give up too to get his new bride home.

19. Benedict and Jade only spent three
days in Three Lakes and I didn’t take
pictures of most of it, so here they
are heading home already! They’re
both trying to beat their chest as
they carry their suitcases, which
results in the pose seen here.
Jade’s oh-so-mysterious tiredness
from the trip is explained in short
order when she immediately runs in
to throw up as soon as the shuttle
stops. Looks like we’re in for a new
Hues soon!

20. This pregnancy is making Jade super sleepy, so she naps while
Benedict takes turns getting to know his new in-laws.

21. Jade’s pregnancy is confirmed with her first pop the next morning.
Benedict is working on maxing all his skills since the job he needs
still has not come up on the computer.

22. Jade’s dance career did show up, however, so she went to
work while pregnant, and scored the necessary promotion
(she majored in a related area, so only needed the one
promotion). As a World-Class Ballerina, she is now platinum.
Her new LTW is to be a Space Pirate. Gotta love it when
college grads roll job LTWs.

23. All these two do anymore is play pool! Violet is retired, of course, and
Hobart is chief of staff, which means he has weekends and evenings
off, so there’s plenty of time for them to hone their skills.

24. And the ghosts are super active again. Sigh. Lime and Rose here
got each of the generation 7 couple here multiple times.
Because they’re knowledge sims, they love it and usually roll
wants for it, but it still wears on their needs, especially Jade’s
since she’s pregnant and having a tough time of it.

25. Staying up a few nights with the help of the energizer has resulted in
Benedict maxing all his skills! Good job, Benedict!

26. Just in time to reap the rewards of all that studying, Benedict finds a
career in science.

27. Meanwhile, Viridian has grown up and
looks just like Eggshell did. There is a
reason for this. It turns out they’re actually
sisters, but I wasn’t paying attention to
that when I adopted her. I just picked the
one female white puppy. Oops. At least
they’re dogs and now a few generations
removed? Anyway, Viridian got along great
with Bronze when she was little, so they’re
able to try for puppies right away.

28. Our two pregnant ladies spend some time bonding, although right at
the top of the stairs is maybe not the safest place for belly rubs.

29. Jade is working her way up to space pirate and kept going to
work while pregnant, once getting out of the car at the end of
the day just to pop. Benedict and Jade are very excited to
meet the first child of generation 8. For my part, I can hardly
believe we’re so far already! Just a few more generations.

30. The ghosts are still a total nuisance. No one can walk anywhere
downstairs at night without getting scared, and upstairs is not much
safer.

31. Frequent scarings result in spaghetti faceplants.
“I thought I was the one that was supposed to be passing out.”
Looks like it wasn’t your turn, Jade.

32. During daylight, a.k.a. what we like to call “the safe hours,” Jade gives
birth to the first child of the metallic colors generation.

33. And then she performs a hand-off to get ready to give birth to the
second child of the metallic generation. Twins! No wonder she was
so tired all the time!

34. Unfortunately, neither of their new twin boys have the
rainbow eyes. Even more unfortunately, Benedict’s eyebrows
were telling the truth, and both boys are born with black hair.
There will be no recessive hair this generation. I’m pouting on
this side of the screen, just for the record.
Anyway, I guess I should introduce the babies once I’m done
pouting. The little gentleman on the left is Gold, and the one
on the right is Platinum.

35. To punish Benedict for false advertising, I had him return to his
natural color. For his part, he thought it was a hilarious makeover.
Hmph.

36. The twins took a fair amount of
care, but with four adults in the
house, they weren’t really that
much trouble. Jade reached the top
of her career, netting another
25,000 points. She now wants to be
a game designer. Viridian spent a lot
of time luring various sims out to
play fetch, and her pregnancy was
uneventful.

37. The matchmaker creeps off from
leaving a lamp while Lime heads in
to haunt. I couldn’t find who was
the recipient, so like Haleigh did in
a previous generation, I checked
the babies, and sure enough, Gold
had earned himself a lamp. While
still a baby. Yeah.
The matchmaker may do her job
in a strange way, but Lime is
working exactly as intended, I
suppose. The poor elders end up
wetting themselves all the time,
and yet they can find each other
attractive in the midst of it all.

38. Benedict and outgoing Jade get started on baby number three,
since neither of the first two are eligible to be heir.

39. Neon promptly punishes Benedict for their wanton ways on his
way inside. No rest for the weary . . .

40. Judging by Jade’s multi-throw-up morning the next day, it seems
the woohoo took. Now we wait. Or puke, in Jade’s case.

41. Jade’s been very work-oriented through her pregnancy and the
twins’ infancy, but she still makes time for her babies.

42. Surprisingly soon, it seems, it is the twins’ birthday. How will
Jade and Benedict’s genes combine?

43. Pretty well, actually. Platinum, on the left is 6/10/10/4/4 and Gold
is 10/3/6/8/8. They’re very different personalities, but I think both
boys turned out adorably! It’s too bad about the eyes and their
hair, but they still are very cute, and that’s a good sign for the first
baby that does carry the eyes.

44. The hard work of training twins
begins, but all four adults tackle it
head-on, and by the end of the next
day, both boys had learned all their
skills and nursery rhymes. Surprisingly,
despite being knowledge/family, both
of which love training toddlers,
Benedict didn’t roll any wants for
them, so he just taught a nursery
rhyme.

45. While the boys are learning their skills,
Viridian finally gives birth to a male puppy
who we named Jonquil. Much like his
owners’ children, Jonquil is a bit
disappointing in that he came out with a
black coat, but maybe he will have some
spots on brown markings like his father.
Bronze is remarkably calm for a dog that
came from a scrapper like Bisque, so he
takes turns with Viridian nuzzling their pup,
and they are a happy little doggy family.

46. Violet rolled some wants to teach Viridian a few tricks, so she did.
This picture is also here to point out that Bronze got old soon after
Jonquil was born, but I missed him aging up, so he’s just grey now.

47. Another day and another pop has Jade looking forward to
meeting her next baby. Hopefully this one will have the eyes!

48. Just like in college, Jade’s family
suffers an attempted burglary by a
very slow-moving burglar. She
barely made it into the foyer and
then stood there waiting for the
cop.
It was the same cop as last time,
and he seemed rather pleased with
himself for actually winning the
fight this time.
“Maybe I’ll get that promotion
after all!”

49. I wouldn’t get my hopes up on the promotion issue if I were him,
however. This not-too-bright police officer informed Gold that we
got a reward for catching a criminal. Sure, tell the sleeping toddler.
That seems like a good plan.

50. I forgot what position this was for, but Benedict looks adorkable
while moving up the ranks of the science career.

51. They both keep pretty busy, but Jade and Benedict make sure to
spend time with the twins. They seem to be growing amazingly
fast, but maybe that’s just because I played this section in big
chunks of time.

52. The boys are getting very close to their birthday. With all their
toddler skills and 9 points each in mechanical plus a few points in
the other toddler-accessible skills, they’re more than ready. They
also made best friends, but I missed that shot.

53. Another event that is passing
quickly is Jade’s pregnancy. She
and Benedict are excited to meet
their next baby, but they also
spend lots of time together.
They’re a very sweet couple, and
like generations and generations
of Hues before them, they love
to cloudgaze together.

54. Ooh, our first sighting of Chris. Of course, it wasn’t just one
sighting. Chris got most everyone that night, but Jade and
Benedict are primary knowledge and Violet is secondary, so it’s
really only Hobart who objects. I would think it is rude to scare
your elderly daughter right after she gets off the toilet, but then
I’m no ghost manners expert.

55. Early the next morning, Jade goes into labor with all adults in
attendance (Violet was out of the shot). Will the baby have the eyes?
Well, you’ll just have to wait to see. We’ve reached the end of
