The greedy King and Queen who live in a castle impose new taxes on the people to get more money. They overwork their maid who wants a holiday. A Sound Collector saves animal sounds in bottles but the King and Queen take his sounds without paying. The maid gets revenge by putting the sounds in their food, making them talk like animals. They beg the maid to find the Sound Collector to help them. He agrees if they become generous and stop being greedy.

And they take his sounds

The blackbirds aren’t making any sound
and the maid doesn’t see the bird come
down and peck off her nose.
She plans a surprise
for the king and queen...

bottles and puts them in the king and

The king and the queen eat the sounds!!!
Their voices disappear and they start to

13. The sound collector returns but... he
wants them to stop being greedy.
They have to be generous and fair with the
maid.
King and queen give the money to the poor
and help the maid.

and the sounds return to the castle!

brings back a present: a seashell.
