The Godhead and Mankind
(Gods special messenger) The apostles Peter
says In 2nd PETER ch.3 v.1
1 BELOVED, I am now writing you this second
letter. In [both of] them I have stirred up your
unsullied (sincere) mind by way of remembrance,

I bring you this presentation to stir up your minds.
The words in yellow are my thoughts and
conclusion's.

These conclusions may be wrong so I ask that you study
the Bible for yourselves.

Back to Genesis !:2b I find this verse very interesting

The Spirit of God (God the Holy Spirit) was
moving (hovering, brooding) (giving life)
over the face of the waters. GEN ch.1 v.2b (AMP)

What does hovering and brooding mean to you?

There are many translations to Gen 1:v.2b
because of the many shades of meaning.

The Earth was a soup of nothingness, a
bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness.
God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the
watery abyss. “The Message”

And the earth was waste and empty,
and darkness was on the face of the
deep, and the Spirit of God was
hovering over the face of the waters.

Translates v.2 as
The earth was a formless wasteland,

This is the translation that sparked my
interest in this verse. Being an old King
James reader I remembered.

And suddenly there came a sound
from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where
they were sitting.

and it sat upon each one of them. 4 And

What does Gen 1 v.2b and Acts 2:2 have in common?
In both the Holy Spirit is giving Life. Just as the Earth
was lifeless, we are lifeless Without The Holy Spirit.

AND YOU [He made alive], when you were
dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins
Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own]
shortcomings and trespasses
Eph 2:1 and 5 (AMP)

It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-
giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever
[there is no profit in it]. The words (truths)
that I have been speaking to you are spirit
and life. John 6:63 (AMP)

And God said, (God Spoke Words) Let
there be light; and there was light. Gen 1:3

For God Who said, Let light shine out of
darkness, has shone in our hearts so as
[to beam forth] the Light for the
illumination of the knowledge of the
majesty and glory of God [as it is
manifest in the Person and is revealed]
in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
11Cor. Ch4 v.6

4 And God saw that the light was good
(suitable, pleasant) and He approved
it; and God separated the light from

5And God called the light Day, and the
darkness He called Night. And there was
evening and there was morning, one

I don’t usually look up or use Commentaries, but I
look at Matthew Henrys Commentary once in a while.

And in the new creation, the first thing that is
wrought in the soul is light: the blessed Spirit
works upon the will and affections by
enlightening the understanding.
Those who by sin were darkness, by grace
become light in the Lord. Henry, Matthew Ge 1:3

In days 2 through 5 God finished Creating the
Heavens and earth and “He approved it”.
On day 5 God created everything in the sea
and the waters, and every winged bird
according to its kind. Ge 1:21

On Day 6
God made living creatures on the Earth

And God said, Let the earth bring forth
living creatures according to their
kinds: livestock, creeping things, and
[wild] beasts of the earth according to
their kinds. And it was so. Gen. 1:24. (AMP)

God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after
Our likeness, and let them have
complete authority over the fish of the
sea, the birds of the air, the [tame]
beasts, and over all of the earth, and
over everything that creeps upon the

So God created man in His own image, in
the image and likeness of God He created
him; male and female He created them.

Now the Lord God said, It is not good
(sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should
be alone; I will make him a helper meet
(suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.
Gen. 2:18

And Adam gave names to all the livestock
and to the birds of the air and to every

was not found a helper meet (suitable,
adapted, complementary) for him. Ge 2:20

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall
upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one
of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up

22 And the rib or part of his side which the Lord
God had taken from the man He built up and

of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be
called Woman, because she was taken out of a

his mother and shall become united and cleave

and were not embarrassed or ashamed in each

Did you ever wonder WHY?
With all the heavens and the wonderful things
(animals, birds, ect) to enjoy on the earth

Why did God want or need Mankind?

What is the one thing we can’t do or have with
all the things God has given us?

WE cannot have ‘REAL or TRUE
FELLOWSHIP’ OR A ‘RELATIONSHIP’
with the Creatures the earth brings forth.

I think one of the reasons God created mankind
was for fellowship, and to have a Relationship.

7 However, I am telling you nothing but
the truth when I say it is profitable
(good, expedient, advantageous) for you
that I go away. Because if I do not go
away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper,
Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener,
Standby) will not come to you [into close
fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I
will send Him to you [to be in close
fellowship with you]. John 16 , v.7 (AMP)

What we have seen and [ourselves]
heard, we are also telling you, so that
you too may realize and enjoy
fellowship as partners and partakers
with us. And [this] fellowship that we
have [which is a distinguishing mark
of Christians] is with the Father and
with His Son Jesus Christ (the
Messiah). 1 Jn 1:3 (AMP)

8 And the Lord God planted a garden
toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and
there He put the man whom He had
formed (framed, constituted).
9 And out of the ground the Lord God
made to grow every tree that is pleasant
to the sight or to be desired—good
(suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of
life also in the center of the garden, and
the tree of the knowledge of [the
difference between] good and evil and
blessing and calamity.

And the Lord God took the man and put
him in the Garden of Eden to tend and
guard and keep it.
And the Lord God commanded the man,
saying, You may freely eat of every tree
of the garden; Genesis 2:15,16 (AMP)

But of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil and blessing and calamity you
shall not eat, for in the day that you eat
of it you shall surely die. Genesis 2:17 (AMP)

Its like telling your kids not to put their hand in
the fire it will burn you. God knew and knows
what is best for us

Before we get into the temptation of Eve, I
have often wondered how could Jesus have
been tempted in all points like as we are, yet
without sin. Heb 4:15

Looking at 1 Jn 2: 15, 16 we see what I
think is the answer.

15 Do not love or cherish the ‘world’
or the things that are in the world.
If anyone loves the world, love for the
Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world—(1) the
lust of the flesh [craving for sensual
gratification] (2) and the lust of the
eyes [greedy longings of the mind]
(3) and the pride of life [assurance in
one’s own resources or in the stability
of earthly things]—these do not come
from the Father but are from the world
[itself]. 1 Jn 2:15-16 (AMP.)

Are these the basis of all Temptations?
Look at the temptations of Eve and see how
Satan introduced the ‘world’ (sin) into the
Garden of Eden.

NOW THE serpent was more subtle and
crafty than any living creature of the
field which the Lord God had made. And
he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it
really be that God has said, You shall
not eat from every tree of the garden?
Ge 3:1 (AMP)

2 And the woman said to the serpent,
We may eat the fruit from the trees of
the garden Gen 3:2 (AMP)

3 Except the fruit from the tree which
is in the middle of the garden. God has
said, You shall not eat of it, neither
shall you touch it, lest you die.
Gen 3:3 (AMP)

4But the serpent said to the woman,
You shall not surely die,
5 For God knows that in the day you
eat of it your eyes will be opened, and
you will be like God, knowing the
difference between good and evil and
blessing and calamity. Ge 3:4-5 (AMP)

And when the woman saw that the tree
was good (suitable, pleasant) for food
= (1) the lust of the flesh [craving for
sensual gratification]
and that it was delightful to look at
= (2) and the lust of the eyes [greedy
longings of the mind]

and a tree to be desired in order to
make one wise = (3) and the pride of
life [assurance in one’s own resources
or in the stability of earthly things]

David

And from the roof he saw a woman bathing,
and the woman was very beautiful to behold
2 Samuel 11:2
= (1) and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the
mind]

Then David sent messengers, and took her;
2 Samuel 11:4 = (2) the lust of the flesh [craving for
sensual gratification]

And he wrote in the letter, saying, “Set
Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle,
and retreat from him, that he may be
struck down and die. 2 Samuel 11:15
= (3) and the pride of life [assurance in
one’s own resources or in the stability of
earthly things]

THEN JESUS was led (guided) by the
[Holy] Spirit into the wilderness
(desert) to be tempted (tested and
tried) by the devil.
2 And He went without food for forty
days and forty nights, and later He
was hungry. Mt 4:1-2—(1) the lust of
the flesh [craving for sensual
gratification]

Then the devil took Him into the holy
city and placed Him on a turret
(pinnacle, gable) of the temple
sanctuary.
6 And he said to Him, If You are the
Son of God, throw Yourself down; for
it is written, He will give His angels
charge over you, and they will bear
you up on their hands, lest you strike
your foot against a stone Mt 4:5-6
= (2) and the lust of the eyes [greedy
longings of the mind]

8Again, the devil took Him up on a
very high mountain and showed Him
all the kingdoms of the world and the
glory (the splendor, magnificence,
preeminence, and excellence) of them.
9 And he said to Him, These things, all
taken together, I will give You, if You
will prostrate Yourself before me and
do homage and worship me. Mt 4:8-9

= (3) and the pride of life [assurance
in one’s own resources or in the
stability of earthly things]

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good
(suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to
look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one
wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also
to her husband, and he ate.

7 Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they
knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves
together and made themselves apronlike girdles.
Ge 3:6-7

They made themselves apronlike girdles in an attempt to
hide their Sin from each other. They had more care to hide
their sin from each other than to seek Gods forgiveness.
Are we like that today?

For Adam also and for his wife the Lord God
made long coats (tunics) of skins and clothed
them. Ge 3:21

Adam and Eve ‘chose’ to disobey GOD (not heed
his warning) they Sinned against God.
Disobedience is Sin.
They suffered the consequence of their sin
which is death to ‘FELLOWSHIP’ or any
‘RELATIONSHIP’ with God, for which they were
created.

And they heard the sound of the Lord
God walking in the garden in the cool of
the day, (God came in the cool of the day to
Fellowship)* and Adam and his wife hid
themselves from the presence of the Lord
God among the trees of the garden.

But the Lord God called to Adam and
said to him, Where are you?*
Genesis 3:9 (AMP)

He said, I heard the sound of You
[walking] in the garden, and I was afraid
because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Genesis 3:10 (AMP)

And He said, Who told you that you were
naked? Have you eaten of the tree of
which I commanded you that you should
not eat? Genesis 3:11 (AMP)

And the man said, The woman whom You
gave to be with me—she gave me [fruit]
from the tree, and I ate.. Genesis 3:11 (AMP)

The first blame others for our sins

And to Adam He said, Because you have
listened and given heed to the voice of
your wife and have eaten of the tree of
which I commanded you, saying, You
shall not eat of it, the *ground is under a
curse because of you;* (See Ro.8:20-22) in
sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the
fruits] of it all the days of your life.
Genesis 3:17 (AMP)

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the
man has become like one of Us [the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit], to know
[how to distinguish between] good and
evil and blessing and calamity; and now,
lest he put forth his hand and take also
from the tree of life and eat, and live
forever—

23 Therefore the Lord God sent him
forth from the Garden of Eden to till the
ground from which he was taken.
Ge 3:22-23

THIS IS the book (the written record, the
history) of the generations of the
offspring of Adam. Genesis 5:1 (AMP)

When God created man, He made
him in the ‘likeness’ of God.
He created them male and female and
blessed them and named them [both]
Adam [Man] at the time they were
created. Genesis 5:2 (AMP)

When Adam had lived 130 years, he
had a son in his own ‘likeness’,
after his ‘image’; and he named him
Seth. Genesis 5:3 (AMP)

Seth was born in the ‘image’ and
‘likeness’ of sinful (dead) Adam.

After he had Seth, Adam lived 800 years
and had other sons and daughters.

They to were born in the image and
likeness of Sinful (dead) Adam

We were created in the image of God
But born in the image of sinful Adam
We are all Dead in trespasses and Sin
even when we were dead through our
trespasses Eph. 2:5 9 (AMP)

Therefore, as sin came into the world
through one man, and death as the result
of sin, so death spread to all men, [no
one being able to stop it or to escape its
power] because all men sinned.
Romans 5:12 (AMP)

One of Adams descendants was Enoch who was
born about 622 years after the fall.

22 Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship]
with God after the birth of Methuselah
300 years and had other sons and
daughters. Genesis 5:4 (AMP)

23 So all the days of Enoch were 365
years.
24 And Enoch walked [in habitual
fellowship] with God; and he was not,
for God took him [home with Him].
[Heb. 11:5.]

God tells us in Heb. 11:5 how this
happened

Because of faith Enoch was caught up
and transferred to heaven, so that he
did not have a glimpse of death; and
he was not found, because God had
translated him. For even before he
was taken to heaven, he received
testimony [still on record] that he
had pleased and been satisfactory to
God Heb 11:5 (AMP)

The sons of God saw that the daughters of
men were fair, and they took wives of all they
desired and chose. Gen 6:2 (AMP)

Then the Lord said, My Spirit shall not
forever dwell and strive with man, for he
also is flesh; but his days shall yet be 120
years. Gen 6:3 (AMP)

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth, and that every
imagination and intention of all human
thinking was only evil continually.
Gen 6:5 (AMP)

6 And the Lord regretted that He had made
man on the earth, and He was grieved at
heart. Gen 6:6

7 So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out,
and wipe away mankind, whom I have
created from the face of the ground—not
only man, [but] the beasts and the
creeping things and the birds of the air—for
it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I
have made them. Gen 6:7

I wonder if God is grieved at the way things are going in our
World today?

For God’s [holy] wrath and indignation
are revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who in their wickedness repress and
hinder the truth and make it inoperative.
Romans 1:18 (AMP

But Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes
of the Lord. Ge 6:8 AMP

This is the history of the generations of
Noah. Noah was a just and righteous
man, blameless in his [evil] generation;
Noah walked [in habitual fellowship]
with God. Ge 6:9 AMP

And God looked upon the world and saw
how degenerate, debased, and vicious it
was, for all humanity had corrupted
their way upon the earth and lost their
true direction.
13 God said to Noah, I intend to make
an end of all flesh, for through men the
land is filled with violence; and behold,
I will destroy them and the land.

14 Make yourself an Ark- Ge 6:12-14

Gen 6:14-16 God gives instructions on how to build the Ark

Enoch had warned these people (Jude 14, 15);
Noah had preached righteousness to them (II
Pet. 2:5); God’s Spirit had been striving with
them (Gen. 6:3). Yet they had rejected God
and were without excuse.

17For behold, I, even I, will bring a flood
of waters upon the earth to destroy and
make putrid all flesh under the heavens
in which are the breath and spirit of life;
everything that is on the land shall die.
Ge 6:17 Amp.

18But I will establish My covenant (promise,
pledge) with you, and you shall come into
the ark—you and your sons and your wife
and your sons’ wives with you. Gen 6:18 AMP

AND THE Lord said to Noah, Come with all
your household into the ark, for I have seen
you to be righteous (upright and in right
standing) before Me in this generation.
Gen 7:1 AMP

Just as God made a covenant with Noah. HE also made a
covenant Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that he would make
them a great nation and they would show the world the
true God and when he saw the

21And all flesh died that moved upon the
earth, both birds, and cattle, and beasts, and
every creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth, and every man:
22all in whose nostrils was the breath of the
spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land,
died.
23And every living thing was destroyed that
was upon the face of the ground, both man,
and cattle, and creeping things, and birds of
the heavens; and they were destroyed from
the earth: and Noah only was left, and they
that were with him in the ark.
24And the waters prevailed upon the earth a
hundred and fifty days. Ge 7:21-24 Amp

We see the results that sin produced on the
Earth, and we get a glimpse of what God
thinks about sin.

What do you think of sin?

We read in Romans 5:12
Therefore, as through one man sin
entered into the world, and death
through sin; and so death passed unto
all men, for that all sinned:--

So, what hope is there for Mankind?

The hope we have is in Gods Love, mercy
and Compassion

23 However, after a long time [nearly forty
years] the king of Egypt died; and the
Israelites were sighing and groaning because
of the bondage. They kept crying, and their cry
because of slavery ascended to God.

24 And God heard their sighing and groaning
and [earnestly] remembered His covenant
with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 God saw the Israelites and took knowledge
of them and concerned Himself about them
Ex 2:23-25 Amp

Just as God saw and heard the Israelites.
God concerned Himself about them and
brought them out of their bondage.

It says in Eph. 2:5
Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own]
shortcomings and trespasses,

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the
world that He [even] gave up His only
begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever
believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him
shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost)
but have eternal (everlasting) life. Jn 3:16

How did this happen?

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a
town of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 To a girl never having been married and a
virgin engaged to be married to a man whose
name was Joseph, a descendant of the house
of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And he came to her and said, Hail, O
favored one [endued with grace]! The Lord is
with you! Blessed (favored of God) are you
before all other women!
29 But when she saw him, she was greatly
troubled and disturbed and confused at what
he said and kept revolving in her mind what
such a greeting might mean. Lk 1:26-29

30And the angel said to her, Do not be
afraid, Mary, for you have found grace
(free, spontaneous, absolute favor and
loving-kindness) with God.
31 And listen! You will become
pregnant and will give birth to a Son,
and you shall call His name Jesus.
Lk 1:30-31

34And Mary said to the angel, How can
this be, since I have no [intimacy with
any man as a] husband?

35Then the angel said to her, The Holy
Spirit will come upon you, and the
power of the Most High will
overshadow you [like a shining cloud];
and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing
(Offspring) which shall be born of you
will be called the Son of God. Lk 1:34-35

30 And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid,
Mary, for you have found grace (free,
spontaneous, absolute favor and loving-
kindness) with God.
31 And listen! You will become pregnant and
will give birth to a Son, and you shall call His
name Jesus. Lk 1:30-31 Amp

34 And Mary said to the angel, How can this
be, since I have no [intimacy with any man as
a] husband?
35 Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit
will come upon you, and the power of the
Most High will overshadow you [like a shining
cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing
(Offspring) which shall be born of you will be
called the Son of God. Lk 1:34-35

the sons of God to be revealed. 20 For the
creation was subjected to frustration, not by
its own choice, but by the will of the one who
subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself
will be liberated from its bondage to decay and
brought into the glorious freedom of the
children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been
groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up
to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we
ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the
Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for
our adoption as sons, the redemption of our
bodies.

He (Jesus) is the sole expression of the glory
of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or
radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect
imprint and very image of [God’s] nature,
upholding and maintaining and guiding and
propelling the universe by His mighty word
of power.. Heb 1:3
And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and
tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us;
and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty),
such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father,
full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.

In the last of these days He has spoken to us in
[the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir
and lawful Owner of all things, also by and
through Whom He created the worlds and the
reaches of space and the ages of time [He
made, produced, built, operated, and arranged
them in order]. Heb 1:2

He is the sole expression of the glory of God
[the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance
of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint
