EXPOSITION
Mama Torres is a widow and have three children. They are Pepe, Rosy, Emilio.
Pepe is the lazy oldest child. He has a knife which was his dad’s.
Mama Torres told Pepe to go to town to buy medicine & salt.
Pepe was very happy when his mother told to buy medicine and salt.
Pepe comes home in the middle of the night.
Pepe told his mother that he killed a man. Because they insult Pepe by saying that he could not allow as a man.
Pepe can’t handle this, and he killed with his knife the person who called him such names.
Mama Torres told Pepe to flee.
RISING ACTION
Mama Torres gives Pepe the father’s rifle and his black coat, jerky, a sleep roll, the gun with ten bullets and the fresh horse.
She states “Pepe is a man and he has a man’s thing to do”.
Pepe flee into a high mountain. Mama Torres beliefs if Pepe is not coming back.
Pepe is on the trail into the mountains.
One by one his father’s things gone.
Pepe sees one of the “dark watchers”. He struggles with the forces of society and nature. He sees dark figures.
Pepe see a dark watcher for a second time. He rest because afraid and tired.
Had a fight and he is wounded in the hands by a silver of granite.
CLIMAX
Pepe awake with his armpit hurting and his arm swollen.
He hears horses with dogs coming his way and he hides away for another night.
Pepe awakes again, he uses a sharp stone to break the flesh and squeeze out the infected area.
Pepe makes a prayer, he hears the bay of hounds.
Then he has shot and topples off of the cliff dead.
Pepe is dead.

choice but to keep going.
