What isan ExO Sprint?
ExO Sprint is a structured 10-week process which helps the organization to
move forward 2 years in just 10 weeks. It consists of the following phases:
1. Pre-SprintPlanning
7. Launch
2. Awakesession
Keynote presentation mapping the latest
evolution of exponential technologies and
their impact on business and society at large.
4. Discover
Series of 5 work assignments across 5 weeks that
guide participants through the first phase of the
innovation process - focused on research, discovery,
ideation, market/customer validation andpreparation
of a disruption presentation of the chosen initiatives.
5. Disrupt
Mid-point of the Sprint where the selected initiatives from all teams
are presented to the panel of external entrepreneurs and subject
matter specialists (disruptors) whose role is to give feedback on the
presented ideas and point out improvement suggestions that the
teams can incorporate during the second half of the Sprint.
The online ExO Sprint includes the online participation of three
ExO Disruptors during the disruption session.
6. Build
The second series of 5 assignments with
a focus on going deeper, building a
minimum viable product (MVP), market
validation and sales and preparing a final
presentation to the senior leadership of
the organization.
Final presentation where the selected
initiatives are presented, final feedback is
given and the organization allocates
financial resources to the initiatives that will
be taken forward
2 Streams- Core & Edge
To help manage risk and build the mindset of
‘Ambidexterity’, the Sprint has 2 parallel streams:
Weekly Rhythm
1. Read the weeklyassignment
2. Work on the assignment (20 hours)
3. Consult the ExOEcosystem
4. Review assignment with the ExO Coach
The online ExO Sprint includes 20 tickets
(5 per team) with a 1-hour call with ExO
Advisors specialised on technology,
disruption and the ExO Model in general.
Initial and crucial stage of the Sprint where its
scope, ambition and goals are set and all
logistics are prepared.
3. Alignsession
Interactive training on the methodology that
helps participants to understand key concepts
they need to successfully go through the Sprint

• The Core stream (2 teams) helps to make
your organization more adaptable to the
external disruptionhappening within your
industry (Incrementalinnovation)
The Edge stream (2 teams) helps to
design new innovative start-ups on the
edge of the current organization to fully
capitalizeon the available opportunities
(Disruptive innovation)
The online ExO Sprint includes two hours
per week of support of a certified ExO
Coach per team.
