In Poland, inactivity rates of workers with disabilities are much higher than other European countries, where approximately 2.38 million people of working age have a certified disability. Only 38% of people with disabilities are employed, compared to higher employment rates for non-disabled workers. While anti-discrimination laws have been implemented, employers do not always follow them. New vocational training programs have been introduced to help people with disabilities find jobs, and employers receive subsidies for hiring and accommodating disabled workers, though Poland's employment rates for disabled people have not increased as in other EU countries.
