Geothermal resources can only be found via exploration which has the common stages carried in oil and gas exploration. Geothermal exploration is another resources exploration where you can find raw materail underground to produce energy which is carbon free unlike oil and natural gas.

Global energy demand is expected to increase over the next 20 years as the world's population grows. Fossil fuels such as oil, gas, and coal will continue to dominate the global energy mix, accounting for over 80% of energy consumption. Large integrated oil and gas companies will play a key role in developing new energy sources to meet rising demand. Turkey relies heavily on energy imports and aims to enhance energy security by encouraging domestic and private companies to obtain reserves abroad and develop integrated upstream and downstream capabilities. Fossil fuels will remain critical to meeting global and Turkish energy needs for over a century.
Global energy demand is expected to increase over the next 20 years as the world population grows. Fossil fuels such as oil, gas, and coal will continue to make up the majority of global energy consumption, around 80% by 2035. Many countries and companies are dependent on fossil fuel imports to meet domestic energy needs. Turkey in particular relies heavily on imports to meet over 80% of its oil demand and nearly 100% of its natural gas demand. To improve energy security, Turkey and other countries will need to encourage domestic production and exploration activities as well as securing reserves internationally through state-owned and private companies.
This document discusses Turkey's need for increased natural gas underground storage capacity. Demand for natural gas in Turkey is growing rapidly and is expected to reach 76 billion cubic meters by 2030. Currently, Turkey only has one underground storage facility with a capacity of 1.6 billion cubic meters. To enhance supply security and meet future demand, Turkey needs to build additional storage capacity of 6 to 15 billion cubic meters by 2030. The document then provides details about a proposed underground storage project in the Tuz Gölü salt basin, including facility specifications and the salt solution mining process used to develop underground caverns for gas storage.
Kenya and Niger both have opportunities for oil, gas, and renewable energy development. Kenya has significant geothermal potential concentrated along the Rift Valley, estimated at over 10,000 MW. The government is working to develop 5,000 MW of geothermal capacity in the next 20 years through partnerships with private investors. Niger has onshore oil production of over 6,000 bbl/day but no natural gas production. Both countries offer production sharing contracts for exploration and development of energy resources.
Tunisia has modest oil and gas production compared to its neighbors. It produced around 81,000 barrels of crude oil per day in 2009, though production has declined slightly in recent years. Domestic consumption has risen significantly such that Tunisia no longer exports crude oil. Tunisia had around 388 million barrels of proven oil reserves and 1.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves in 2008. The country relies heavily on oil and gas, which make up around 48% and 39% of its energy needs respectively. State-owned Etap promotes exploration and production through production sharing agreements and joint ventures with international oil companies.

This document discusses Iraq's oil reserves, production, and administration. It provides statistics on Iraq's oil reserves and fields. It also compares different drafts of Iraq's oil law and discusses the Kurdistan Regional Government's oil law. The document analyzes objectives to increase Iraq's oil production and exports. It notes challenges around Iraq passing a national oil law and contrasts contracts in the Kurdistan region versus those administered by Baghdad.
LNG Basics document discusses liquefied natural gas (LNG) and its production and transportation. Some key points:
- LNG is natural gas that has been cooled to liquid form, which reduces its volume by about 600 times, making it feasible to transport over long distances.
- The liquefaction process involves purifying natural gas and cooling it to -162°C. LNG is then stored in insulated tanks and transported globally via specialized LNG carriers or tankers.
- Receiving terminals regasify LNG by reheating it, allowing it to then be distributed via pipeline as regular natural gas. Long-term contracts govern the international LNG trade between supplier and receiving countries.
This document provides information about liquefied natural gas (LNG), including:
- LNG is natural gas that has been converted to liquid form for easier storage and transport by cooling it to -162°C.
- The liquefaction process involves purifying the gas by removing components that could cause issues.
- LNG takes up 1/600th the volume of natural gas in its gaseous state, making it more economical to transport over long distances where pipelines do not exist.
- The basic LNG process involves production, purification, liquefaction, storage, and transport via specially designed LNG carriers or tankers. Receiving terminals reheat and regasify the LNG
The document discusses Iraq's oil pipeline infrastructure and plans for expansion. It details the 5 existing pipelines which transport oil within Iraq and to export terminals, 2 of which are currently closed. Plans are outlined to increase export capacity from the current 2.8 million bbl/d to 6.9 million bbl/d through new pipelines, including a 1.75 million bbl/d line from Basra to Haditha and connections to Syria. The Iraqi government aims to increase oil production from 3 million bbl/d currently to 6 million bbl/d by 2017 and export capacity from 3.2 million bbl/d to 12 million bbl/d through investments in pipeline and port infrastructure.

4. Primary Energy Consumption by Fuel Type
• 2016 yılında Dünya’da toplam tüketilen enerjinin %85 i fosil yakıttır.
5. CO2 Emissions and Geothermal Energy Influence
6. Worlds Hottest Areas

• 2016 yılında en fazla jeotermal kurulu güce sahip ülkeler
sırasıyla:
1. Filipinler

• Birincil enerji tüketimlerinde jeotermalin de yer aldığı
yenilenebilir enerjide Almaya ve Yeni Zellanda başı
çekmektedir.
• Ancak Almanya birincil enerjide fosil yakıt tüketiminde
%80 dir
• En fazla jeotermal kurulu güce sahip Filipinlerde dahi
fosil yakıt tüketimi toplam enerji tüketiminde %88 dir.
• Jeotermal enerji fosil yakıtlardan sonra güvene
bilebileceğimiz, hem karbon emisyonu olmayan hem de
güçlü ve sürekli bir enerji kaynağıdır.
8. Turkey’s Installed Capacity and Electricty Production
gerekmektedir.

13. Women in Exploration and My Experience
14. Women Contributions to Exploration
• Stratejik bakış açısına sahip olmaları
• Daha konuşkan olmaları değişik sosyal ortamlara daha kolay adapte
olabiliyorlar
• Stres altında birden fazla işle uğraşabilmeleri
• Soyut problemlerin çözümünde daha yetkin olmaları
• Tüm olasılıkları aynı anda düşünebilme yetileri
• Uzun vadeli planlar yapabilme yetenekleri
