The Beatles were a highly successful British rock band formed in the 1960s. They were composed of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Over the course of their career they produced innovative music and became the most commercially successful band in history. Abbey Road Studios was where they recorded much of their discography and the photo on the cover of their Abbey Road album of the band walking across the nearby zebra crossing became iconic. Even decades later, the crossing remains a popular tourist destination for fans to commemorate the band.
