2. Who: Students who cycle to school or would like to and their
parents
What: Some routes are dangerous/boring and children can’t
cycle due to safety issues
When: Journey to school
Where: Newcastle upon Tyne
Why: Routes are dangerous and kids go in rush hour

3. Did you know that over 2000 children are killed or injured
on their way to school. This happens because routes are not
safe due to heavy traffic and dangerous routes.

4. Mini Elevator Pitch
The Appcredibles , is developing a mobile app
to help pupils, who can’t or are worried to cycle to school, who
have to suffer with busy roads/ accidents to cycle with safety to
school with help from friends, parents and our app.

5. How can you reduce the accident number?

6. Children can set the safest route to school to follow and will be
notified wit a unique sound/vibration so they know when they are
entering a accident hotspot or busy area. With this unique sound they
will know what it means, not a friend sending them a text.

7. Out of the children we interviewed they all said they would use it.

8. Map my ride is a bike route finder but does not give the
safest.

9. Give out safest and quickest possible route, sharing routes with friends
so you can meet up. Plus a notification with a unique sound so you
know what it means. If you hear it, it means you have entered an
accident hotspot or busy road.

10. Home screen give’s you the option to view
You saved routes, share routes with
You friends and set your alert. The tabs
Consist of Route finder, Traffic Update and
Alerts.

12. After speaking to professional programmers we believe this app can
be made.
It will use gps and google maps

13. Cycle safe Newcastle will be a free app and we will make a
profit out of adverts
Charities like sustrans can post adverts up and so can bike shops.

14. We could make posters to advertise in bike shops and could be put up
in schools.
