1. The Analysis of “The Smuggler”
I. TITLE
Because this story told us about two smugglers hide a gold had in order to be taken by
another smugglers, but that is failed by inspector. The gold had hidding by harker. And the key
of map to find golden had is poem which is made by harker.
II. CAHARCTERS
A. Main/Major Character
1. John Samuel Fame is as a main character because he is the man break mysterious
harker poem and find the Golden had. He is careful character. It happens when On the
road, he always stopped when in frontier. He is Antagonist because he is smuggler.
2 . Zara is a main character because she is fame patner in the harker gang and she
also break mysterious harker poem with fame. He is loyality character because she
always beside fame and do anything what fame order. He is Antagonist because she also
smuggler with fame in harker gang.
3. Ezra is main character because in the start story he planing to rob The Golden
Had together with harker but harker robbing first and hide that made erza feel angry. He
is Antagonist because he kill harker and he also smuggler. He is anger person it happens
when he tell the the truth story to fame.
B. Minor/Supporting Character
1 Guedo is supporting character because he always help ezra. He is Antagonist because
he help ezra to caught zara and he also smuggler in ezra gang. He is loyality person it
happens when he caught zara ang fame to help erza.
2 Don is supporting character because he help fame and zara in the harke gang.

V. PLOT
A. Introduction
The Golden had of Pharaoh Chefren IV, which was stolen from the Darna Municipal
Museum, was still missing. The police under Inspector Roland were still looking for the head.
Inspector Roland asked a custom officer to watch John Samuel Fame who crossed the frontier
a lot for a mysterious business. He was the key of missing thing because he was a friend of
the thief, Emil Harker and the thief had already dead killed by his own friend named Ezra.
Actally, the thief was a chief of smugglers. They were consisted of some people. They

5. smuggled cars, but the custom officer did not know about it. The custom officers found
nothing in Fame’s car at last.
B. Raising
This story about two gang of smugglers who want to get a head of gold. This is a two
gang gang Harker and Ezra gang. Harker is a rich man, when he is silent on his desk he
wrote a poem about him. When he was writing, three people came to his house with a gun.
And it turns out Ezra, who then took his poem Harker.
C. Climax
When the gang caught Erza fame and fame forced to explain the mystery behind what
harker poetry, Erza angry and tells the true incidence of the fame that they would steal the
gold head together but harker steal it first.
When fame lay on the cellar floor he saw something that cloud use to break the rop. After
he break the rop he break wooden window and escapa with his car that parking on the yard.
Ezra and the gang shocked and they following fame’s car from behind.
D. Falling
Inspector Roland know about poem from zara he asked to fame about it, but fame don’t
understand. Fame told about ezra and harker, after that fame tried understand that poem with
Zara and finally they know where the golden had was hide by harker, they went to the
bridge, but do not think hiding dijembatan Fame. They read the instructions in the poem, and
they find the golden head. They wanted to take him to the police, but when walking to the

6. car, Ezra and his men were waiting with weapons. inspetor Roland come and catch Erza
alley and securing the head of gold, besides fame and zara already gone some where
E. Ending
After 5 years, when inspectors are on vacation, a night when you're in the cafe, he met
with Fame and Zara. They talked for a long time, Inspector Roland tells them about the head
of gold is now safe in the Museum of Darna. And of his men were imprisoned Ezra. While
Fame and Zara tell about their wedding. When Fame and Zara will go, Inspector Roland
asked one question. Whether you're a smuggler, while working for Harker?. Then they
replied "we smuggle cars, then sell it at a great price, and do not pay taxes. Then Inspector
Roland smiled, and said that all is past. Fame and Zara went away.
