While serving clients in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, Dr. James Frizzell is a dentist who provides care to clients with diverse dental issues, including those without health insurance. A member of local and nationwide professional organizations, James Frizzell DDS is part of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA). The CDA informs the public about issues and procedures in the dental profession.
Created in 1902, the CDA’s membership comprises the collective membership of its 10 component dental associations. Each one represents the dentists in Canada’s 10 provinces. Though members of The Association des chirurgiens dentistes du Québec, Quebec’s dental association, cannot join as full members, they can reap the benefits of CDA membership and access its programs by joining as an affiliate member.
To join the CDA as a full member, a candidate needs to be a certified, licensed dentist in their province. Once they join, a member can access exclusive services, like CDANet and CDA Secure Send, which allow member dentists to process patient claims and send patients their X-rays securely, respectively. The CDA’s family of publications, like CDA Essentials, informs readers twice per month about pressing dental issues and news, and the Journal of the Canadian Dental Association (JCDA) serves as Canada’s sole peer-reviewed dental journal.
Getting more members in the door and making sure they renew every year is a task that never ends for associations. And as competition grows and membership becomes more fragmented, constantly innovating new ways of engaging your industry can’t be a priority that gets constantly pushed down the to-do list. It’s a requirement for staying relevant, and this ebook helps you do just that.
