2. Introduction
 Dr. Jay Schwartz is a physician with over two decades
of experience. Prior to establishing Collin County
Pediatrics in Frisco, Texas, Dr. Jay Schwartz served
as a pediatrician in the Air Force and worked in the
pediatric ward at Moi University in Kenya.
Located in the Kenyan town of Eldoret, Moi University
awards diplomas and graduate and undergraduate
degrees in multiple areas of study. This year, the
university is hosting its first Biennial International
Conference.
Ten schools will be participating in the conference,
each supplied with a focus related to the overarching
theme of “Aligning Training, Research and Service to
Sustainable Development Goals.”

3. 1st Biennial International Conference
 The departments involved, which include the schools
of law, engineering, medicine, business, and arts, will
consider a variety of sub-themes, such as inclusive
governance, sustainable energy, health research,
responsible consumption, and social well-being.
Prior to this new biennial event, Moi University hosted
an annual international conference, the 10th and final
installment of which was held in September of 2014.
These symposiums were, like the new conference,
themed to coincide with important contemporary
issues.
Previous conferences focused on such themes as
“Social, Economic and Technological Transformation
in the 21st Century” and “Adaptations to Global
Dynamics.”
