HYPERION BANK SUPPORTS 26TH POLICE DISTRICT IN HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
Phila., PA – This holiday season, local families and senior citizens in need will enjoy hot turkey
dinners with all the trimmings thanks to the combined efforts of the 26th Police District, Hyperion
Bank and its employees.
Working with Community Relations Officer, Annamae Law-Whitehead, Hyperion Bank collected
non-perishable food donations from customers and employees and raised money for the
purchase of turkeys. The Bank’s employees donated their own money, which the Bank matched
dollar-for-dollar, for a total of $722.00. “We are grateful for the generosity of the employees at
Hyperion Bank. Their effort to assist us in raising so much is truly a blessing. We have enough
to help us do food baskets with turkeys for Thanksgiving and still have funds left over for the
Christmas holidays”, stated P/O Annamae Law.
“As a community bank it is important for us to reach out and touch our local residents and be
actively involved in our neighborhood, especially when there is so much need right here in our
own backyard. Being the neighborhood’s premier community bank means finding ways to give
back to those we serve. I am proud to be associated with my co-workers, whose generosity and
spirit of giving is overwhelming. On behalf of our entire staff we wish everyone a Happy
Thanksgiving”, stated Joe Matisoff, president & CEO of Hyperion Bank.
Hyperion Bank celebrates its 5th Anniversary in community banking this month. Restored to its
original 1871 grandeur, the headquarters and first branch, located at 2nd Street and Girard
Avenue, is a masterwork in the area’s urban revitalization. The site was chosen because of its
extensive residential redevelopment, expanding small business and deep-rooted neighborhood
residents. Hyperion is a full service retail and commercial bank. Its website is
