IT’S A HOLIDAY ‘TOY’ STORY AT HYPERION BANK
Phila., PA – Tis the season of giving and local children will be receiving toys a plenty thanks to
the efforts of Hyperion Bank in conjunction with the 26th Police District. The Bank’s employees
shopped ‘til they dropped and filled their bin to overflow with Barbies, Iron Man 2, Matchbox,
Tonka, Transformers, baby dolls, tea sets, building blocks and a variety of games and novelty
character hats & mittens.
Working with Community Relations Officer P/O Annamae Law at the 26th Police District, which
coordinates the annual toy drive and sponsors a holiday party event for the children, the toy
collection was a fun filled time for Hyperion Bank employees. “We are the area’s community
bank. It’s important to the people who work here to get involved. We may not all live locally but
we work here every day. It’s our neighborhood too and we care about those in need who are in
our own backyard”, said Joe Matisoff, Hyperion Bank President & CEO. “It’s wonderful to see a
local business work so hard to weave themselves into the fabric of our community. And the
folks at Hyperion Bank have really been helping us to make a difference here in our
neighborhood”, stated Officer Law.
Hyperion Bank is the first community bank to locate in the urban part of Philadelphia in more
than 20 years. Restored to its original 1871 grandeur, the stately 11,000 square-foot
headquarters and first branch, located at 2nd Street and Girard Avenue, is a signature footprint
in the area’s urban revitalization. This site was chosen because of its extensive residential
redevelopment, expanding small businesses and deep-rooted neighborhood residents.
Hyperion is a full service retail and commercial bank. Its website is www.HyperionBank.com.
