What is the  Texas  STaR  Chart ? STaR is an acronym for School Technology and Readiness. It is a tool for teachers, administrators, and districts for planning and assessment. This program is aligned with the  Long Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020. The general  rationale is to assist the instructional staff in the needs and goal setting for the use of technology in the classroom.

Little Elm High School  Strengths We have averaged 14.83 over the last 3 years in all areas of Texas STaR Chart. We are at Advanced Tech for Infrastructure for Technology the last 3 consecutive years. We also are at Advanced Tech for Leadership, Administration, & Instructional Support the last 3 consecutive years Key point Teaching & Learning we reached the Advanced Tech level for the first time.
Little Elm High School  Weaknesses In the area of Educator Preparation and Development we averaged 12.67 for the last 3 consecutive years that places us in the Developing Tech category. We need to be conscience of this area and show improvement for 2010.
Where do we go from here? First we need to  Push  Infrastructure for Technology & Leadership, Administration, & Instructional Support into the Target Tech range.  We are going to continue to  Build   Infrastructure. Increase  Collaboration  among all stakeholders.  We are also going to set a clear  Vision  for the future. We also offer training on any new technology we  Plan  to use. We will keep in mind the number one  Goal  is increased student engagement and how to teach them to be life long learners.
