The STaR Chart is a tool created by the Texas Education Agency to help schools and districts evaluate their technology proficiency in four key areas: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation and Development, Leadership/Administration/Instructional Support, and Infrastructure for Technology. Within each area, the chart measures progress on various focus areas to determine the district's current level of technology integration on a scale of 1 to 4, from Early Tech to Target Tech. The chart can then be used to set goals and benchmarks, apply for grants, and track progress in meeting federal and state technology requirements.
