The Thailand English Teaching Project is a partnership between the Thailand Ministry of Education, UK universities, and the British Council to improve English language skills in Thailand. In 2012, 67 English Teaching Assistants from 12 UK universities participated, and in 2013 there were 195 assistants from 25 universities who taught in Thailand. The 2014 project will recruit and select assistants January to March, provide training in April, have assistants teach in Thailand from June to August, and support them with training, resources, and pastoral care during their time abroad.
