This document provides the standard test method for determining water and sediment content in crude oil using the centrifuge method in a laboratory setting. It describes the centrifuge procedure, apparatus needed, sampling methodology, calculation of results, and discusses precision and bias. The method is not considered fully accurate for water content determination and distillation or extraction methods are preferred when high accuracy is required. The document provides this method as an American National Standard and references other ASTM and API standards.
This document provides guidance on transformer maintenance for facilities. It discusses different transformer cooling methods, including dry type and liquid-immersed transformers. It outlines inspection procedures for various components of oil-filled transformers, such as the tank, bushings, oil preservation systems, and gaskets. The document also describes testing of transformer oils, including dissolved gas analysis to diagnose transformer condition. It provides guidance on moisture problems, annual oil tests, and electrical testing of transformers. The document contains extensive references and tables to aid in transformer maintenance and fault diagnosis.
This document is an American National Standard that provides specifications for gray iron threaded fittings in classes 125 and 250, including dimensions, materials, markings, and tolerances. It defines requirements for elbows, tees, crosses, caps, couplings, and other fittings. The standard was originally published in 1927 and has been revised periodically to incorporate new practices and metric equivalents. It is developed and maintained by the ASME B16 Standards Committee under procedures accredited by the American National Standards Institute.
CASE 570NXT Tier 4 Tractor Loader Service Repair Manual (From PIN NCC570600).pdfufhjsekdmmdm
This document is the service manual for the 570NXT Tier 4 Tractor Loader from PIN NCC570600. It contains safety instructions, an introduction, and detailed sections on the engine, transmission, axles, brakes, hydraulics, hitches, frames, steering, wheels, cab climate control, electrical systems, front loader, platform/bodywork, and fault codes. Users are advised to read the operator's manual and safety manual before servicing the machine and follow all safety procedures, using only recommended fluids and filters, and not modifying cast ductile iron parts.
The document describes a PID control simulation program created to help understand PID controllers. It details the main window layout including the chart display panel, controller output panel, settings panel, and program modes panel. It then explains how to operate the simulator in both manual and programmed modes and provides an overview of PID controller concepts such as proportional, integral, and derivative control actions.
This document describes a generator synchronizing simulator. It explains that synchronizing involves matching the voltage, frequency, and phase angle of an incoming generator to a running electrical system before connecting the two. The simulator displays controls for matching the generator's voltage and speed to the system and indicates when the two are in phase using a synchroscope. The user brings the generator up to speed, matches its voltage and frequency to the system, and closes the circuit breaker when the synchroscope indicates a matched phase to successfully synchronize the generator.
This presentation demonstrates efficient reactive power sharing between multiple generators connected to a common busbar. It uses a mini grid example with 2 generators supplying a load of 56.5 MW and 31.7 MVar. The generators are initially unevenly loaded at 39.5 MW and 17 MW. The document then walks through calculating the apparent power, power factors, currents, and reactive power settings needed for the generators to efficiently share the reactive power load.
This document provides a guide to furnace sootblowing. It begins with an introduction that notes each boiler design is unique based on the engineer's goals and compromises. It then presents a simplified model of a furnace to demonstrate sootblowing concepts. The model shows heat distribution, temperatures, spray flows, and slag accumulation. Next, it explains that 33% of heat goes to the waterwalls, 31% to the superheater, 18% to the reheater, and 17% to the economizer at 100% load. Heat distribution varies by pressure, requiring more heat to the waterwalls at lower pressures. The document then covers sootblower types and control systems before discussing plant condition changes.
This document contains readings from various instruments and checks of equipment for a boiler unit over four time periods in a day. It includes pressures, temperatures, levels, pump and fan statuses, and panel readings for systems throughout the boiler including pulverizers, sootblowers, fuel systems, and ash handling from different levels of the unit. Remarks note the unit is a KKS boiler and provide the logsheet reference.
This document discusses electrical protection systems for power stations. It explains the need for protection against faults like overcurrent and earth faults to isolate faulty equipment quickly. Detection of faults is done by measuring changes in current and voltage using transformers and relays. Different types of protection relays and schemes are described to discriminate faults and provide backup protection for transformers, circuits, busbars and generators.
The document provides an assessment marking schedule for a power station operations training course. It includes 29 multiple choice and short answer questions about various systems in a power station including the generator, seal oil system, stator coolant system, and hydrogen system. Key topics covered include causes of heat generation in the generator, operating pressures and temperatures of hydrogen and seal oil, advantages and disadvantages of using hydrogen as a coolant, and functions of components in the seal oil and stator coolant systems. Diagrams of the seal oil and stator coolant systems are included and referred to in some questions.
In July 1999, a consortium including Alstom Power and Peremba was awarded a contract by TENAGA NASIONAL BERHARD JANAMANJUNG (TNBJ) to supply 3 x 700 MW thermal power plant units for the Manjung power plant in Malaysia. Alstom Power was responsible for the design, civil works, equipment, erection, commissioning, and training for the power blocks. Peremba was responsible for auxiliary buildings and electrical works. The plant utilizes seawater for cooling and flue gas desulphurization. It is located on a reclaimed island 10 km from Lumut and uses steam turbines, generators, and other main

operation including alarms and operating timers by completing the sentences provided.
(6 marks)
Figure 4
The Gas Release Chamber has three mobrey float switches which are operated as the
stator coolant level lowers (due to gas collecting). The mobreys control the automatic
gas release and initiate alarms as follows.
When the top level switch is operated a _____ minute timer is started.
As level continues to drop due to the gas leak, one of two situations will occur.
Either
a) The timer times out before middle float switch is reached in which case the gas
will be released and a _________________________ alarm initiated
b) Or if middle float is reached within the timer period and __________________
and ___________________________ alarms will be initiated and gas will be
released. (If the "gas in coolant excessive" alarm is initiated it means that more
than 50m³/24 hours is leaking and an inspection should be carried out).
If the bottom Mobrey switch is operated then the ____________________________ will
be initiated which means either:-
c) The solenoid valve has not opened.
d) Or the gas leakage is too much for the solenoid valve to cope with.
The solenoid valve shuts when the level rises above the ______ Mobrey switch.
