blessing. And of course a life so that writer still can do activities. Particularly, all activities
related to the campus’ assignment. Shalawat and salam also writer delivers to the lovely
Rasulullah, Prophet Muhammad SAW. The exemplary source for all human race in all over
the world.
Thank you very much also to writer’s mother, father and sisters for the support both in
material or mentally. Likewise to all of writer’s friends who has given the moral supporting
to me. So writer can enjoy every single of his activities positively.
Thank you very much in depth also writer says to Mom Hariratul Jannah, as writer
tutor in subject of “Test and Assessment”. Thank you for giving writer such a great subject
which is useful for writer job in the future as a teacher. Test and Assessment is inseparable
part of teaching activity. So writer hopes that writer can apply this knowledge when writer
becomes a teacher later.
This paper must not good enough for a perfection word, so writer hopes that the
reader could give their consideration to give any correction to this paper. Writer hopes all

CHAPTER I
PRELIMINARY
1. Background
Test and Assessment is an inseparable part of educational activity. As a
teacher we have to know kinds of test and how to assess. It is the most important
thing than all activities on teaching learning process. End of all student activities
related to the teaching learning process in the school is assessment.
Test is an activity to know how far our students’ comprehension to the
material we gave. After all, we should give an appreciation to their effort in
comprehend our material in the form of assessment. Both score in number or
alphabet.
2. Problem Formulation
1. Where did this Test and Assessment take place?
2. What time was the Test and Assessment held?
3. What kinds of test which is given?
4. How many students took the test?
5. What is the result of test which is given?
6. What is the analysis of the whole activities of test and assessment given?
7. How about the evidence?
CHAPTER II
CONTENT
1. Place of test and assessment held
This test was taking place at Vocational High School 8 Makassar, 3rd Grade.
Especially, in Tourism Department (Hotel). The writer chose this school because the
writer would like to focus on the using of english in the hotel industry.
2. Time of giving the test
This test gave to the SMKN 8 Makassar on Tuesday, October 22nd 2014. Where the
time was given to me to give the test was just 1 hour. And the particular of time
distribution as follow:
1) Introduction : 5 Minutes
2) Explanation and Direction : 15 Minutes
3) Test (Including documentation) : 30 Minutes
4) Closing (Including documentation) : 10 Minutes

4. The number of students who took the test
This test was taken by 16 students. Students seated in a circle table, each of them got
task to write a conversation. There are 3 titles and one student got one title which was

6. Analysis of student ability
From 16 students who writer tested, all of them have the same problem :
1) Grammar Problem
2) Problem in using the proper Vocabulary in a sentence
3) Using Impolite words when handling guest
4) A mistake how to write the sequence of date, month and year correctly
7. Evidence of activities (Documentation)
1) Writer is observing the student
2) Students are doing the test
3) Pose together

2. Suggestion
Writer realizes that this paper is far away from the perfection. So, writer hopes that all
