Tesla Motors was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. They produce all-electric vehicles including the Roadster and Model S. The Model S has an electric powertrain that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, and features smart air suspension, a panoramic glass roof, and mobile connector that charges the batteries to 10kW of power in about an hour. Benefits of the Model S include lower emissions and maintenance than gasoline vehicles, as well as cost savings and preservation of natural resources.
