ICTs have the potential to empower teachers and students by promoting 21st century skills, but there is limited data to prove these benefits. The goals for ICT use in education are often loosely defined, and different school subjects integrate ICTs in different ways effectively. Both teachers and students generally feel that ICTs increase motivation, though appropriate ages for introduction and successful integration models are still emerging areas of research.
