Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG) Technology
VIG Structure
• There are spacers to form a gap within two
glass panes. Using the frit on glass edges to
make a frame to enclose the space.
Inserting a tube connected to this space for
degassing. After degassing and sealing this
tube, the glass is formed as a VIG.
• VIG has vacuum layer within it, so it has
great insulation for both heat and sound.
VIG can be adhered to Low-E films,
UV filters, tempered glass, PV cells
and so on, for various applications.

Substrate
•Our substrates are identical in size. It’s easy
for fitting in frames.
•3rd party’s substrates are inconsistent.
Spacer
•Both of spacer and substrate are the same
glass material.The adhesion is strong to
prevent spacers from falling off.
•The mountain shape spacer makes less area
and free contact with the other glass pane. It
makes high thermal resistance and prevents
strain broken.
•3rd party’s spacers are easy to fall off. And the
shape is not good for heat insulation.
Degas
tube
•Our flat pane sealing technology installs
degassing tube on side, and the tube can be
hidden in window frame.
•3rd party’s degassing tube is installed in the
visible area and sticks out on the glass pane
surface. It’s easy to be broken during setting
and processing.

TECONano’s current development
Tubeless degassing technology
• To fulfill the requirements from renovation
market, TECONano is developing an
innovative tubeless degassing technology to
achieve the thickness target, 6mm, for VIG.
• Without sticking out degassing tube, the
surface of the VIG pane is flat that
improves the yield of VIG process, the
efficiency of packing and shipping, and the
aesthetic of VIG.

Sound Insulation
The vacuum space of VIG can block the sound
transmission and reach Sound Transmission Class by
39dB. The sound insulation of VIG is better than that of
insulated glass.
