What is Technology?
Technology is the application of knowledge for
achieving practical goals in a reproducible way. The
word technology can also mean the products resulting
from such efforts, including both tangible tools such as
utensils or machines, and intangible ones such as
software.

CYBER BULLYING
Cyberbullying or cyber harassment is a form
of bullying or harassment using electronic
devices. Cyberbullying and cyberharassment
are also known as online bullying. It has
become increasingly common, especially
among teenagers, as the digital sphere has
expanded and technology has advanced.
IDENTITY THEFT
What Is Identity Theft?
Identity theft is the crime of obtaining the
personal or financial information of another
person to use their identity to commit fraud,
such as making unauthorized transactions or
purchases. Identity theft is committed in many
different ways and its victims are typically left
with damage to their credit, finances, and
reputation.

CULTURAL ISSUES
CAUSED BY
TECHNOLOGY
CULTURAL ISSUES CAUSED BY TECHNOLOGY
Another impact of modern-day technology on
culture is that it has made it easier for people
from different countries or regions to connect
with each other thereby breaking down
barriers between cultures that previously
prevented them from meeting face-to-face or
interacting with each other over long
distances due to language barriers etc…
CULTURAL ISSUES CAUSED BY TECHNOLOGY
The main concern about technology today is its impact on culture, tradition, and
social values. With the development of the internet and social media platforms like
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., people now have access to information from
anywhere in the world at any time of day. This gives them more power than ever
before but also makes them vulnerable to misinformation and propaganda
spreading through these channels which could potentially lead to negative effects
on our society (e.g., cyberbullying).
BIOMETRICS
What Is Biometrics?
Biometrics is the measurement and statistical analysis of people's unique physical and
behavioral characteristics. The technology is mainly used for identification and access
control or for identifying individuals who are under surveillance.
How do biometrics work?
Authentication by biometric verification is becoming increasingly common in
corporate and public security systems, consumer electronics and point-of-sale
applications. In addition to security, the driving force behind biometric verification
has been convenience, as there are no passwords to remember or security tokens to
carry.
BIOMETRICS
Components of biometric devices:
● A reader or scanning device to record
the biometric factor being
authenticated.
● Software to convert the scanned
biometric data into a standardized
digital format and to compare match
points of the observed data with stored
data.
● A database to securely store biometric
data for comparison.

Unique Identifier
Unique Identifier
A unique identifier (UID) is a numeric or alphanumeric string that is associated with a
single entity within a given system. UIDs make it possible to address that entity, so
that it can be accessed and interacted with.
What is Unique Identifier
The most widely known use of unique identifiers occurs when users register for a
website or service. Customers are often provided with a username or user ID that
allows the company they are registering with to differentiate them within their user
logs. These identifiers are then also used for security and logon purposes.
Some commonly used unique identifier are:
USERNAME
PHONE NUMBER
AADHAR NUMBER
