It can be undertaken with many devices such as

c) with digital devices such as ipads or through electronic gaming
devices.

1)LMS based assessment : various assessment question types
which are available in LMS like moodle are calculated,
description, essay, matching. Fill ups, short answer, numerical,
true/false, jigsaw,etc
2) the hot potatoes: includes six applications which enables the
teachers to create multiple choice, short answer, jumbled
sentence, crossword, matching, and gap fill exercises.
3) digital Rubrics- a rubric is a coherent set of criteria for students’
work that includes descriptions of levels of performance quality
on the criteria.
10. Definitions of CALL:
Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) was the
expression agreed upon at the 1983 TESOL convention in a
meeting of all interested participants. This term is widely
used to refer to the area of technology and second
language teaching and learning despite the fact that
revisions for the term are suggested regularly (Chapelle,
2001, p. 3).
2) - Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) may be
defined as the search for and study of applications of the
computer in language teaching and learning (Levy, 1997,
p.1).
11. Roles of the Computer in language learning and teaching:
- Computer as tutor for language drills or skill practice
- Computer as a tool for writing, presenting, and researching
- Computer as a medium of global communication
Importance of computers in language learning:
Use of power point presentations help in better comprehension.
Computers could be used to develop listening and speaking skills.
For example when a student watches an English movie she could
develop her pronunciation,
Video conferencing, chat and E-mail help in developing
communication skills.
Inspires students to express their imagination using paint brush.
Encourages students to surf web pages and gather relevant
information through web pages.
Use of animation, graphic design makes the content interesting.
