ABSTRACT
1. At present race we are very familiar with the word BROADBAND which
is used to upload and download data at very fast rate.
2. Most of the people switching to these modems and digital subscriber
lines to increase their bandwidth.
3. At present there is a new type of service being developed that will take
broadband into the air which is called as “AIRBORNE INTERNET”.
4. The Airborne Internet will function much like satellite based internet access
without any time delay.

INTRODUCTION
1. AIRBORNE INTERNET also known simply as AI, the airborne Internet is a
communication network that is designed to include nodes or points of contact or
interaction on different types of aircrafts
2. Idea born in 1999, the idea of an internet communications and delivery system that is
air-based for use by passengers and crew on airplanes has undergone some revisions
over the years, especially as technology continued to advance during the first decade
of the 21st century.
3. Even at present one of the world’s largest company spaceX building this network
through the star link.
4. There would aslo be the capability to allow aircraft passengers to go online to check
their emails, pay bills and surf the web without interference with radio and aircraft
control signals

reliable measurement of airspeed is vital to
many simple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
(UAV), since the envelope of stable
operation becomes narrow for simple
autopilots if speed information is in error.

63 In the aerospace field, the atmospheric
pressure measurement is closed related to
the aircraft flight. From the aviation
perspective, the height of aircraft is
indicated by the pressure altimeter in the
flight. The pressure altimeter is the
instrument indicating the flight altitude
through the atmospheric pressure.

WORKS OF AIRBRONE INTERNET
•The concept seems pretty simple, have a plane flying over head in a pattern
carrying long range 4g transmitters, transmitting internet across the city.
•Looking into the triginomotry in this, it could potentially cover an area of up to
30-40 miles.
• I ran some numbers, and to have 2 Beechcraft Barons flying so that one was
always in the air, it would cost $5,000 a day roughly.
•If you had 5,000 customers, paying $30 a month for high-speed internet from
this service, then doesn't this business venture sound like it has potential?
9. TACHOMETER
•The tachometer is an instrument that indicates the speed of the crankshaft of a
reciprocating engine.
•It can be a direct or remote indicating instrument, the dial of which is calibrated to
indicate revolutions per minute (rpm).
•There are two types Tachometer.
•Mechanical Tachometer.
•Electric Tachometer.
10. Mechanical Tachometer.
Mechanical tachometer indicating systems are found on small, single-engine light
aircraft in which a short distance exists between the engine and the instrument
panel
11. Electric Tachometer.
A popular electric tachometer system makes use of a small AC generator
mounted to a reciprocating engine’s gear case or the accessory drive
section of a turbine engine.
12. Electronic Pressure Sensors
1. Pressure sensing instruments are located in the aircraft in the flight group
and the engine group. They can be used to measure pressure directly as
well as remotely.
2. Ease of control of aircraft systems and accurate feedback systems are used
in the aircrafts using electronic sensor.
13. Wireless Sensors
• With no wiring harness, these kinds of sensors offer simplicity and weight-savings
that cannot be matched by wired sensors.
• However, wireless sensors come with their own unique issues.Things
like the complex software needed to operate the sensors, bandwidth and interference
issues.
14. Multifunctional Sensors
• Multifunctional sensors, such as combining pressure and temperature
measurement capability into a single unit, provide a number of benefits.
• The system manufacturer that is using the multifunction sensor saves costs by
reducing the number of ports required for pressure and
temperature measurements.
• Labor costs are also reduced because engineers are only required to install, test,
connect, and operate one unit versus two separate ones.
15. Altimeter
1. The altimeter is an instrument that measures the height of an aircraft above
a given pressure level.
Types of Altimeters:
•Drum Type:
• Instrument Flying Handbook, Drum-Type Altimeter.
• These instruments have only one pointer that makes one
revolution for every 1,000.
• Each number represents 100' and each mark represents 20.
•Sensitive Altimeter:
• Instrument Flying Handbook, Three Pointer Altimeter.
• One with an adjustable barometric scale allowing the pilot to set the
reference pressure from which the altitude is measured.
• This scale is visible in a small window called the Kollsman window.
•Absolute Altimeter:
Also referred to as a radio altimeter, indicating the altitude over
objects below based on radio signal pulses.
16. Light sensors and LED-based technology
• These devices are capable of sensing movement, position, and constituents of
fluids and gases, all at the same time.
• These sensors do not require metal to function, allowing them to be lighter weight
than traditional sensors and applicable in extreme environments where conductivity
is problematic.

CONCLUSION
1. The usefulness of tachometer is to measure the number of revolution of an
object in a given interval of time. It measures the rotational speed of a rotating
shaft
2. Wireless sensor can be used so that it reduces weight and cost.
3. Instrument Check Prior to takeoff, the ASI should read zero. However, if there
is a strong wind blowing directly into the pitot tube, the ASI may read higher
than zero.
4. Multifunctional sensors can do a job of two or more sensors.
