 Assessment & Certification

• Training can be undertaken by different approaches:
   – Full-time training at approved TEVT providers
   – Using Dual Training System
   – HRDC trainings

• All trainings are subjected to assessment prior to
  certification

• Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) >
  Penilaian Pencapaian Terdahulu (BM: PPT)
 Assessment & Certification

• Issuance of Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)
• Levels 1 to 5, with Level 4 being equivalent to
  a Diploma and Level 5 an equivalent of an
  Advanced Diploma
• Certificates are issued by JPK only.

 ACCCIM & JPK Collaboration

• Enabling APL (PPT) within ACCCIM
• ACCCIM identified 35 candidates to be
  appointed as “Internal Verifiers” (known as
  “PP”) for the APL (PPT) process
• ACCCIM will act as a JPK’s conduit to provide
  verification services to its members in order to
  get the appropriate SKM certification

• For a start, JPK has agreed on the following 4
  areas:
  1. Machinery and Land Transportation (Automotive
     Tyre Service Technician)
  2. Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning (Air-
     Conditioner)
  3. Electrical (Electrician)
  4. Civil Engineering (Plumbing)
