To install TeamViewer, double click the exe file and select the "Install" option to install with administrator rights or "Run" to launch without installing, agreeing to the terms. This will generate a unique 9-character ID and 6-character randomly generated password that must be provided to IT staff seeking remote access to assist with troubleshooting. With these credentials, they can then remotely access your computer as indicated by a banner on your screen.

1. Team Viewer Installation Instruction
Installation
- Double click on TeamViewer_Setup.exe
- Confirm/Run the popup windows (if have) to continue install
- There are two option:
+ Install: install the software with administrator right
. Choose ‘personal, non-commercial’ use
. Tick the 2option box to agree terms and conditions
. Choose ‘no (default)’ - Finish
+ Run: run the software (Double Click Team viewer icon)
. Tick the option box to agree terms and conditions - Finish
- Either way to install or run, the result should look like below, where:
+ YourID: 9-unique chars identify your computer – consistent
+ Password: 6-unique chars – randomly generated each time program is run

2. Having your computer remotely accessed
- Open TeamViewer
- Check and provide YourID and Password to your partner
- There will be a prompt banner on the bottom right of your screen indicate your
partner’s name currently accessing your computer
