This class will provide a place and time to
write in a supportive, collegial atmosphere
learn and demonstrate divergent classroom writing practices,
observe model lessons on writing strategies and writing processes,
write individually, working with response groups,
write collaboratively, and
read about writing and examine writing theory in Book Clubs.
Teaching Writing & Writers will address
• writing and teaching narrative writing,
• writing and teaching informational writing,
• writing and teaching persuasive writing,
• writing and teaching response to reading (writing to learn), and
• professional writing opportunities
Final Project: an implementation plan for your present or future classroom or school
Cost: $1244 for 3 credits
Location: University Hall, Armstrong Atlantic State University
Participants need to enroll in Armstrong’s Graduate COE program as “degree” or “non-degree-seeking”
